It took a bit longer than I anticipated, but here is the very first Otome Fans React post! Diabolik Lovers Anime Timeline
After my last tl dr, you may have thought Tina cant possibly have anything left to ever say about the freakin moon in Dialovers, but never underestimate the level to which I can get obsessed with something, haha. Looking up a couple things in the anime for that post quickly and inexplicably snowballed into me going through each episode with a fine-toothed comb playing a Wheres Waldo? game of Wheres the moon and what phase is it at? And I made a discovery that I thought was pretty interesting – the Diabolik Lovers anime has a pretty clear timeline if you pay attention to the moon.
Now Im not saying we can assign exact dates, but I can tell you almost exactly how much time passes between the first episode and the last as well as how much passes from one episode to the next. Lets run through it, shall we?
Episode 1:
The episode starts during the day, gets dark and stormy oddly fast, and by the end of the episode, its night and the moon is roughly at first quarter .
Episode 2:
We know episode 2 is the following day, or perhaps later the same day if episode 1 passed midnight. Either way, we know Yui gets up at 5:20 PM, so she slept through all of the daylight hours and some of the previous night, which is kind of weird because she didnt even get bit. Maybe the shock of everything and the heart palpitations really knocked her out? Oh, and I presume Reiji changed her into the nightgown. XD
