Kobayashi is just an ordinary girl, who is getting ready to go to work when she finds out that there is a dragon on her balcony.

But soon that dragon turns into a cute young girl in a maid outfit. The girl is named Tooru and is full of energy and joy.

Kobayashi met her on a mountain when she was drunk. Tooru had nowhere to go so Kobayashi offered her home, so the dragon accepted her offer and followed Kobayashi home.

Now that Kobayashi is sober she is regretting her words but also feels bad for Tooru. So she allows her to stay.

So to repay Kobayashi’s kindness, Tooru becomes her maid and does all her house chores. She is highly energetic and fast at her work.

But sometimes it can create troublesome situations for Kobayashi. This is an adorable and lovely anime to watch.

More Than 1600 Hours Of Anime Have Been Added To The Platform

Anime streaming platform Funimation has been folded into one-time rival Crunchyroll to form an anime super-service.

More than 1,600 hours of anime has been added to Crunchyroll at no extra cost, following the merger between the two that completed in August last year. 80% of what Funimation calls its “most popular series” will be available on Crunchyroll by the end of March that includes My Hero Academia, Tokyo Ghoul, Cowboy Bebop, and much more.

You can see a full list of Funimation shows on Crunchyroll here. Funimation will continue to operate as normal for the time being, but the move makes clear that Crunchyroll will be the main platform going forward, and any new anime starting in spring 2022 will only be available on Crunchyroll. Funimation will only continue to update series already hosted on the service.

The move will also bring Funimation subsidiary Wakanim, and Crunchyroll’s VRV into the core Crunchyroll subscription.

Most sports anime are comfortable, trope-y hang-out shows with a fun cast of characters that are content to trundle along for a couple hundred episodes. Ping Pong the Animation, despite telling a conventional story about a pair of friends trying to become champion ping pong players, is nothing like that. And it probably looks like no anime you’ve ever seen. Director Masaaki Yuasa retained the art style of the manga, by acclaimed artist Taiy Matsumoto, characters rough and exaggerated, scenes cut up into panels just like a comic.

At first it may even come off as ugly, but stick with it to see the animation blossom in expressive, surreal ping pong matches that reflect the psychology of the characters as much as the real action of the sport. It has style to spare, but it’s ultimately the relationship of friends Smile and Peco that makes Ping Pong an all-timer.
