League Of Legends Arcane Show Starts In Just Over A Month
The League of Legends Arcane animated series has finally got a release date, and despite being on Netflix its not dropping all at once. We already knew that the first League of Legends TV series would appear this Autumn/Fall, but now Riot has confirmed it will launch on November 7 at 2:00 AM BST and theres a cool new trailer to boot.
An animated series based on League of Legends was first announced back in 2019 as part of the games tenth anniversary celebrations, where fans were told it would tell the origins of sisters Vi and Jinx as they grew up on the mean streets of Zaun. The series would be produced in-house at Riot Games, the studios first project of this type.
Theres been a few clips and details here and there but now Riot has finally lifted the lid on what fans really want to know the release date. Contrary to usual Netflix binge-watching, Arcane will be divided into three acts with three episodes apiece, and the first act will launch just after the League of Legends Worlds Final on November 7.
Arcane act 2 will drop on November 13 with act 3 on November 20. The impressive new trailer is below, which also shows off familiar characters such as Jayce and Caitlyn and new characters called Vander and Silco.
Riot also announced a lot of the voice cast for Arcane, including Hailee Steinfeld whos about to have a busy November as shes also starring as Kate Bishop in Marvels Hawkeye series as the voice of Vi.

Arcane Plot: What Will Netflix’s League Of Legends Animated Series Be About
Arcane will feature the origin story of Jinx and her sister Vi, giving us a look at the sisters’ childhood in the twin cities Piltover and Zaun. For those not familiar with the world of League of Legends, Piltover is the upper-side utopia, and Zaun is Runeterra’s dystopian slums. In the current lore of the MOBA game, Jinx and Vi don’t get along with each other. The siblings insult each other, and Jinx taunts her sister whenever they meet. Vi has become a PIltover sheriff, and Jinx has become an infamous Zaun terrorist. Arcane will explore how the sisters got to where they are in the current storyline.
All the Champion characters revealed are from Piltover and Zaun, so it’s likely that the plot of Arcane will primarily be set in the twin cities.
Here’s what Riot Games said about the storyline of Arcane: “We’ll dive deeply into the stories and struggles of these characters and find out what their lives look like, what made them who they are today.”
When the first trailer was released during TUDUM: A Netflix Global Event, the official synopsis for Arcane was revealed:
From the creators of League of Legends comes a new animated series, Arcane. Set in the utopian region of Piltover and the oppressed underground of Zaun, the story follows the origins of two iconic League champions-and the power that will tear them apart.
Urgot As The Antagonist
Of course, every anime series needs a menacing villain, and we think the dreadnought Urgot should become Arcanes.
Fans have seen his fearsome form in the League of Legends cinematic Warriors 2020 where he fought against Piltovers bringers of justice, Caitlyn and Vi.
Whats more, Arcanes setting could slowly build up Urgots revenge against Zaun, the land of his torturers, and Piltover, the city where he was imprisoned. Riot Games can even animate one of the scenes from Urgots lore:
Starting a riot that ignited a chemtech vein within the mine, Urgot shook the city above, and cracked the prison open in an explosion that rivaled the birth of Zaun itself. Many prisoners died, with thousands fleeing into the Sumpbut the worthy, as ever, survived.
