Only Place To Watch Fillers

The Controversies: Why One Piece Chapter 1010 is NOT a 10/10

One Piece is one of the longest-running anime series and no lengthy anime series is without fillers. Many fans dislike the concept of fillers, but to many, it offers a deviation from the intense drama. One Piece is well-known for its comedy and some of the anime fillers provide quite a healthy dose of humor.

The G-8 arc is a fan favorite and it is filled with great characters. The arc is so popular among the fans that no one would mind if the arc was turned deemed canon. One Piece manga does not have any filler content, so the anime is the only way to watch fillers.

One Piece Chapter Release Schedule April/may 20201

As usual new chapters released on Sundays, but there could be several breaks along with that slow down the release of new chapters.

  • WSJ break on 2 May 2021
  • One Piece Chapter 1012 will release on 9 May 2021
  • One Piece Chapter 1013 will release on 16 May 2021
  • Oda break on 23 May 2021
  • One Piece Chapter 1014 on 30 May 2021

That would be all for the foreseeable future of the manga. We will update the schedule monthly in case any changes come. And due to how unpredictable things like that could be, it would be best to stick to how things proceed each month to keep up with any changes that might come through.

It looks like there will be frequent breaks. However, were already used to Odas break, so we already know how things like that develop. Taking a look at the storys development, we should expect spoilers to release anytime this week. Since there was nothing for the past week, then spoilers might be around the corner for One Piece chapter 1011.

But if you want to steer off that, then you should expect your official releases based on the above schedule as published by Shueishas weekly shonen jump. So in the meantime, this will be a good moment to take a look back at what happened in the latest chapters. With the release of One Piece 1011 almost here, then we should expect something interesting enough to keep us busy while we wait through yet another one-week break.

Use this list as a reference to know which chapter and episode each arc begins, and to know which arc is after another.

Manga: Avoids Pacing Issues Of The Anime

Somewhat affected by the filler factor as discussed earlier, the issue of pacing goes a bit beyond just that in terms of the One Piece anime. In addition to straightforward filler episodes occasionally breaking up the progression of the main story, the anime goes at a much slower pace than the manga. At some point in the advancement of the anime, the episodes typically began covering a chapter per episode with each episode being–as expected–roughly 22 minutes.

Therefore, reading the manga becomes a much quicker experience. And, in a series like One Piece, which spans over 900 chapters in the manga and episodes in the anime, time is a crucial factor, especially those who are just now looking to get into the series.

What Is One Piece Doing To Keep It One Chapter/episode

YAMATO IS AMAZING – One Piece Chapter 994 Analysis | B.D.A Law

Depending on how condensed the plot is in a manga, the number of episodes that come out annually will be affected. For example, Haikyuu!! had 25 episodes per season for the first two seasons, and since it has almost caught up, there will probably be 10-12 episodes per year from now on each covering 4-5 chapters, as 50 episodes got them to about chapter 150, if they want to stay at pace with the manga.

In an action-based manga where a lot of the scenes are fighting scenes, it becomes pretty hard to lengthen a chapter time-wise. What are specific time-filling techniques One Piece using to keep the chapter-to-episode ratio at 1:1?

  • 2The DBZ anime actually had a lot of techniques to lengthen fight scenes. Fights in this sort of manga usually have this rhythm where the momentum keeps shifting between one combatant and the other, so it’s easy to pad out the scenes where whoever is currently losing is getting beat up. In older shows they would even use recycled animation to do this. The fights in the One Piece manga are pretty sharp but there are still places where you can slip in padding. TorisudaSep 11 ’16 at 15:46
  • For dressrosa arc, there was a lot of ‘filler’ scenes where they would show people escaping or crying for help, or buildings collapsing…

The main reason why the anime is this slow are the fillers. They help the manga “catch a breath” and sneak in couple chapters. .

Longer Fights Than The Manga

When it comes to story-telling, Oda’s skills are second to none. Oda has created a vast world and it is filled with different types of characters. Oda uses every possible way to ensure that the readers can understand some of the deeper themes of the story.

Because of focusing on the story, the fighting sequences in the series are not drawn out. Oda likes to maintain brevity and therefore, fans who want to see fights are left disappointed. But the anime covers up for the lack of fights with its extended scenes especially in the Wano arc, there have been a lot of extended fights which include Kaido vs Oden, Roger vs Whitebeard.

Bellamy Makes A Point

The life of piracy often involves the usage of knives and swords. This is not surprising in the manga. Take, for example, chapter 222 of the One Piece manga. Bellamy, engaged in a game of cards with Roshio, accuses him of cheating.

In the anime, this moment is punctuated by Bellamy simply grabbing the arm of Roshio. In the manga, however, Bellamy stabs Roshio in the hand!

This means that there will be a new chapter this week after the manga took a one-week break with the release of One Piece Chapter 1010.

We already know that Oda goes on a break once every three weeks. And that has been the usual schedule since the beginning of the year. But one thing to note is the Weekly Shonen Jum break that occurs several times a year. So one would also wonder how many times WSJ break comes a year. But now we have official sources from the Weekly Shonen Jump website that have brought forth changes into the One Piece Chapter schedule.

What Do The Fans Say About The One Piece Ending

Among the fans, the opinions are different and there are several standpoints as to when the story of One Piece will end. Most fans expect it to last for at least 10 to 15 years more and they also state that they will keep following it until its ending, whenever it comes. Others are skeptical and believe that the One Piece manga and anime will never end because it has a plot that can be stretched infinitely. While this is true, it would be impossible for the author to stretch it out forever and there would come a point where he would just have to stop drawing One Piece. Most fans are afraid of this scenario.

Another group believes that since One Piece has entered its second half of the plot that the author will try to wrap it up a bit faster than it took him to build it up to its half. There is a widespread idea that the One Piece anime will have 1000 episodes, setting a record for the longest anime ever and possibly the anime with the biggest base of loyal fans.

Among the undisputed titans of the anime and manga industry, if you ask the majority of fans of these mediums, will likely tell you that One Piece reigns among the best, most popular, and most important to the overall industry. Even while, at least among the fan base, the anime is generally regarded as the weaker way to experience the series, it still is a solid anime adaptation. Meanwhile, the manga is hailed as some of the best series even among the likes of Berserk and Vagabond.

Is One Piece Being Milked For Profit

If we consider the outstanding reception of One Piece, it is easy to jump to the conclusion that One Piece manga and anime will be coming out for many years to come simply because the One Piece series is incredibly profitable. The first thing that we need to know is that One Piece is the Shonen Jumps most highly acclaimed and best-selling manga of all time. Some interesting stats are that the One Piece manga was the manga that sold 100.000.000 copies faster than any other manga title ever, and has sold over 250.000.000 copies as of its 65th volume. Just the Volume 65 sold over 3.300.000 copies. That is not a small feat by any means.

One Piece Creator Confirms The Manga Series Is Ending

The creator of One Piece has set a firm timeline for the final saga of the epic manga series, letting fans know exactly how much story is left.

One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda has confirmed that the acclaimed manga will soon be coming to a close, with an advertisement for the 35th issue stating that the series is “headed toward the upcoming final saga.” While fans have known for some time that the manga would soon be drawing to an end, this confirmation has put a clear timeframe on how long it will take for the story to wrap up.

Serialized in Weekly Shnen Jump magazine since July 1997, the series follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy , whose dream is to become the Pirate King as a means to gaining total freedom, along with his crew of infamous One Piece pirates. The show is popular for its extensive world, lovable characters, and amazing fights, all of which will soon be coming to a head.

Oda’s plans place the ending of the One Piece manga around 2025-2026, though fans should note that this is no reliable indication of exactly when the anime – at one point the fourteenth most popular TV show in the world, and consistently in the top five rated animated shows in Japan – will come to a close.

One Piece Should Already Have Ended

Oda Reveals What the One Piece Isn

Eiichiro Oda initially had a different plan for One Piece when he just started it in 1997. This was mainly because no one anticipated the incredible popularity and reception with all kinds of audiences. The original intent of the author was to have One Piece last for five years, which means that it would have finished in 2002. So far, however, the manga series has lasted for 16 years and the anime, as it started the very next year, for 15 years.

As the situation stands and as the author has said, we have just passed one half of the story, which immediately draws us to conclude that the story of One Piece may last for another 15 to 16 years. While some think that number is a bit farfetched, others think it is a realistic possibility. Interestingly, some fans would love for One Piece to last for that long and only hope for the authors good health.

Prologue: Getting To Wano

Nekomamushi and the Guardians arrived on Sphinx, where resided and worked as a doctor. Marco revealed that Sphinx was Whitebeard‘s homeland and his last keepsake. With Edward Weevil and Bakkin hunting for Whitebeard’s inheritance, Marco anticipated that they would attack this place, and so elected to stay behind and protect it instead of joining the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance against Kaidou. However, he told Nekomamushi to give Luffy a message from him once he arrived at Wano Country.

Some time later, Luffy’s group read about the Levely while sailing to Wano. Nami noticed an article about Kaidou and Big Mom, but was unable to read it due to Sanji and Chopper cutting pictures out. The crew then came to a stormy area that looked like Wano, and as they sailed through it, they encountered a school of giant carp. They then came to the bottom of a massive waterfall, and Luffy grabbed onto two of the jumping carp to pull themselves up. At the top of the waterfall was a whirlpool, and Luffy had Sanji fly the others to land. When he tried to follow them, an octopus that had boarded the Sunny held him back, causing him to go down into the whirlpool.
