A post-credits scene sets the stage for future anime events. It centers around Yuta returning to Japan, and joining the main series. However, it is not known if he will appear in Jujutsu Kaisen episode 2.
Its worth looking for in completionist terms. It fleshes out the world, the curse-heavy universe and makes for an engaging story. You can skip it if you have the time but we recommend you go look for it.
Is There Enough Source Material
Gege Akutamis Jujutsu Kaisen manga is an ongoing text. At the time of writing, the manga has surpassed around 170 chapters in total. The manga would have reached a higher number. However, due to the long break in the early months of 2021, the manga lagged behind its original schedule. The month-long break was announced due to the degrading health conditions of the author. So, the first season of JJK ended up using only the first 64 chapters of the manga.
This leaves more than a hundred chapters to be used for the second season. In fact, if the manga covers up source material until the release, it is likely that material for a third season might also be available by that time. However, much of this also depends on author Gege Akutamis health. Ever since the first hiatus, the author has continued to take regular breaks in light of degrading health conditions.
Jujutsu Kaisen: A Prequel Movie Confirmed
The story of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is before the starting of Jujutsu Kaisen season 1 means it gonna be a prequel of the series that will highlight the backstory of Yuji and his friends. It moves around Yuta Okkotsu whose childhood friend, Rikka Orimito meets a tragic incident in which she lost her life. Now, Rikkia is turned into a special grade vengeful cursed spirit who begins to haunt Yuta. When Gojo learns about the events happening with Yuta, he takes him to Tokyo Jujutsu High and starts his training so that he can take powers of Rika.

Story Of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Which Chapters Can It Adapt
The conclusion of Jujutsu Kaisens first season was the Death Painting Arc. This ran from chapters 55-64. The anime will continue to adapt the manga in order of release. Next up is the Gojos Past Arc which covers chapters 65-79.
It revolves around Gojos past and a mission that Gojo and Geto were involved in escorting a Star Plasma Vessel from Tengen.
If this is the case, the second series might include flashbacks to Gojos history as well as setting up an important next arc: The Shibuya Incident . Dont worry, were not going to spoiler territory. The Shibuya Incident Arc revolves around Gojos plan to exterminate Goto. It is spearheaded by Gojos new cursed alliance.

The first season of anime adapted the first 8 volumes and ended on the 63rd chapter with the Death Painting Arc.
Currently there are 9 volumes of content available to adapt which is more than enough for another 24 episodes seasons. Moreover, the series is still ongoing with the consistent release of new volumes, so thats a big plus for getting a sequel.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season : Renewal And Release Date
Many rumors were going around regarding a prequel to the anime and finally, on 27 March, it was officially announced that the makers will be coming up with a prequel which would be titled Jujutsu Kaisen 0. This would be a movie and its scheduled to release on December 24, 2021. Also, the release outside Japan will take a while after that. Regarding Season 2, there is no announcement and we expect a season 2 only once the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is released.

What Will Happen In Season 2
The next season will begin withthe Gojo Past Arc which runs from chapters 64 to 79.
The arc follows a young Satoru Gojo during the year 2007 back when he was a second-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High. Together with Suguru Geto, Satoru must escort the Star Plasma Vessel to Master Tengen as curse user groups conspire against them.

This isnt really a second season announcement, really, but it goes to show that MAPPA is invested in Jujutsu Kaisen and that it plans to adapt as much of the source material as possible. So, what does this tell us about the second season?
