One fan in Japan had the chance to have a wedding with an adult game character via VR in June. As of this week, all of Japan is now one step closer to officially realizing relationships with 2D waifu. Gateboxestablished its Jigen Tok Kyoku and began offering a marriage registration service for people who want to record their unions with 2D characters.
People who want to marry a character can print out a marriage registration form from Gatebox Lab’s Jigen Tok Kyoku. The form is available in “Normal” , “Japan,” “Future,” and “European” varieties, and it features all of the boxes of a normal Japanese marriage registration form. After filling in the form, people can send it to Gatebox Lab. If there is no problem with the form, the company will send a marriage certificate for the dimension-crossing matrimony in about two or three weeks.
The service launched on Wednesday, and it is running until December 7.
People who decide to use Gatebox’s service to marry fictional characters also have another opportunity with the company. Gatebox is accepting applications for a variety of positions. People who join the company as employees after participating in the marriage registration campaign will receive special benefits. They will earn a “couple’s allowance” of 5,000 yen every month and be able to take vacation days on their virtual spouses’ birthdays.

Japanese Men Are Now Marrying Anime Characters With Virtual Reality
Japanese men have no been able to marry their favorite anime characters thanks to the wonders of virtual reality technology.
The experience apparently springs from a VR game called Niizuma Lovely x Cation, where players get to create meaningful relationships with their chosen partners.
Hibiki Works, developer of the game, took things further by holding wedding ceremonies as part of their promotion for a second installment.
According to Vocativ, the studio began collecting applications from players who wanted to marry three anime characters Aiko Kurihara, Nono Naruse and;Yuki Isurugi between April 28 and May 28.
The lucky grooms received the winning email on June 12, which advised them on what to wear and bring on their special day.
Netizens had mixed reactions over the trend, which has been understood as having no legal bearing. Commenters on;, which shared a video of the story, wrote:
It disgusts me where this world is going, satisfied by robotic life that has no meaning, no emotions. Were un-humanizing ourselves more and more every day.
What is more disturbing is that people have become so selfish, callous, and untrustworthy that spending time with a robot probably has a better chance of some sort of happiness.

In the video from Ruptly TV you see the groom getting fitted with a VR headset and headphones before going through a typical wedding ceremony. Game makers say they created the game to help young men get more confident and by offering the weddings they show that marriage and family is a logical and a necessary step.
