Chapter 390 was the final chapter of Hunter x Hunter before the manga went on Hiatus. The chapter 390 was released on November 26, 2018. Since then, the manga has been on Hiatus.
The main reason behind Hunter x Hunter hiatus is the The series creator, Yoshihiro Togashi, suffers from chronic debilitating back pain for years now. This condition forces the author to take multiple breaks from drawing. Togashi several times spoke about his condition to fans:

Hunter x Hunter is one of those series you might have never watched. As one of shonen’s most popular titles, the action series follows a group of quirky Hunters who explore the world and run into lots of trouble. However, the show sometimes found itself underestimated because of its incomplete run, but that did not stop fans from loving it.
And just recently, fans were able to bid farewell to Hunter x Hunter on TV when its dubbed finale hit up Toonami.
This past weekend, fans were treated to a slew of anime updates thanks to Toonami, but they were not ready for what the late-night block had in store for Hunter x Hunter. As we are now in the last month of 2020, it is far that it will be out this year.
Is Hunter X Hunter Movie Possible
A canon movie for Hunter x Hunter is not possible due to lack of material. The 51 chapters that havent been adapted into an anime yet, have little to no fights or action scenes. Yes, 51 chapters of the manga have no fights. It looks like Togashi deliberately slowed the manga pacing to develop more characters.

With the manga, Togashi has stated multiple times that he still wants to end the HxH manga, but the manga series has been off and on hiatus for years now. Now, the story is far from over and we got absolutely no conclusion back in 2018 so there probably will be more chapters of the manga, but when and if that will happen we dont know. We just hope that Togashi remains healthy enough to produce more material and if that happens, were certain itll be published instantly.

The terrifying young woman who has a hellish temper quickly takes a liking to Gon but is soon abducted by the Chimera Ants and removed from the plot. After her reincarnation, Palm’s new character design adds some intrigue to the character, but it is unfortunately outdone by Kite’s new form.
Bisky Kruger goes through one of the most shameful demotions in the Hunter X Hunter mythos. After being introduced as a member of the main cast during the Greed Island Arc, she returns as a secondary character before being relegated to a background character by the end of the series. Though fans still love the strong pretty girl, she has certainly lost a bit of sparkle since first being introduced.

If were talking about Gon when he powers up to his maximum potential he is most likely far superior to Ging. When the second edition of Hunter x Hunter animation ended with Election Arc in its sixth season in 2014, fans were hoping it would appear soon. After all, manga creator Yoshihiro Togashi continued to gradually produce content for the popular manga of the same name from 2014 to 2018. So why werent these stories incorporated into the anime?

Many readers noticed that a series of chapters from the end of the Greed Island Arc to the beginning of the Chimera Ant Arc included poor quality artwork. There are other times throughout the manga that this happened but the artwork during this period of new chapters was by far the worst in terms of quality.
