The foundation of any animation education is the 12 principles of animation.
The 12 principles were a set of core concepts that were developed in the 1930’s by animators at Walt Disney Studios as they were transitioning from doing shorts to feature films. It was a gradual process of discovery and refinement as the animators tried to push their work to a new higher standard.
These 12 principles were first compiled by the legendary animators Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston in 1981 in their book The Illusion of Life.
Creating the illusion of life is what the principles are all about. They help us create characters that look like they have weight, personality, and exist in a real world with real physics at work.
Even though they were developed by 2D animators, they still apply to 3D and any other type of animation.

Since I don’t know you personally, I’ll give you the best advice I think would benefit most people: The best way to get noticed is to create things.
Having a BFA in animation or a diploma from an online school;will definitely help, but it won’t guarantee a job after graduation.
You know what I did the day after graduation?
Continued animating;for my reel. And that’s what I did everyday until I got my first freelance work. And then after work kept working on more shots;so I’ll be ready for the time the freelance project was over.

My Hero Academia;debuted in 2016 with 13 episodes, which means they could reasonably have dropped 164,000,000 yen for season one. Thats $1,482,560.00 USD for one season.
Now lets stop and think about how much anime Japan produces every year.;Wikipedia;say 157 shows debuted in 2017. That doesnt include ongoing shows just the new ones!
No wonder the industry is worth nearly $18 billion USD annually.;Anime;is one of Japans top exports, so yeah, Im sure theyre pretty comfortable spending good money on it!
While these production costs still seem pretty incredible, they dont come anywhere near the costs of other animated shows. Take the Simpsons for example. A single episode of the;Simpsons;costs about $2 million USD . Other American shows have similar costs, with many coming in around $1 million per episode.

Working on One’s or Two’s is a term used in hand drawn animation.
Working on one’s would mean doing a new drawing over every single frame of the animation.
Working on twos means holding each drawing for two frames, so one second of animation at 24 frames per second would only be 12 drawings, not 24.
In 2D animation working on two’s looks fine in most instances, and there are even cases where drawings can be held longer. In 3D, though, working on one’s is the;standard.

We know that American animators get paid more . We have a good idea as to how much it takes to make a cartoon show in America. However, why is it that anime is cheaper to make yet it is way more popular. You would think that anime would be more expensive for the simple fact that it has had global success.
So here are some as to how much it cost to make one anime episode. The Japanese really do things differently and their work life is still similar to that of the 1950s and 1960s, after the bomb dropped on Hiroshima.

Why Are Japanese Animators Paid So Little
Theres a lot of speculation as to why Japanese animators are paid so little. One theory is that the standard in the industry has long been to make as much a profit as possible. Costs for staff and production are kept low, and any potential revenue is eagerly divided among the studio executives and network. This is further complicated if the anime has been adapted from manga because then the publishing company will receive royalties as well.
In order to maximize their profits, studio executives allot very little salary or budget to the staff behind the anime. This means that key-frame animators have a heavier load on their shoulders, as they are often unable to hire assistants for coloring or other tasks. At first, in-between animators were hired alongside the key-frame animators, but even they were delegated to freelancing and paid significantly less.
