The Jojo mangas Stone Ocean arc was initially released in 2000, making its 2011 setting futuristic for the time. It spanned 17 volumes in all and ran till 2003. The story is now getting an animated version, more than 20 years after it was first published.

The anime season is once again handled by David Production, the company responsible for the shows previous seasons. It was revealed earlier this year as part of a webcast event honoring the anime series Jojos Bizarre Adventure. Fairouz Ai, an Egyptian-Japanese voice actress, will play Jolyne Cujoh, while Daisuke Ono will resume his role as Jotaro Kujo. Similarly, Mariya Ise, Mutsumi Tamura, Yuichiro Umehara, Atsumi Tanezaki, and Daisuke Namikawa will voice Ermes Costello, the Foo Fighters, Narciso Anasui, Weather Reporter, and Emporio Alnino, correspondingly.

The grim new reality she faces in the torturous hallways of the penitentiary is then shown in the franchises characteristic manner, making everything as bright as it is dark. When she discovers the odd pendant, her elderly father, Jotaro Kujo, informs her of its purpose.

From there, a nefarious plan involving Dio is exposed, as is the first appearance of Jolynes Stand. This leads to a quick glimpse of the action before the video fades to the Netflix logo and reveals the intended release date.

When Is The Jojos Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean Episode 13 Release Date

JoJos Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean episodes 1-12 were released on Netflix worldwide on December 1, 2021. But thats not the end of the season theres more to come.

Common logic might dictate that episodes 13-24 are coming on January 1, 2021 but thats not likely to be the case.

Thats all because Japanese viewers havent had a chance to watch the series yet. Out East, the show will air on Japanese TV from January 8, 2022, likely for 12 weeks. If we had to make a bold prediction, we wouldnt expect to see Stone Ocean Part 2 release on Netflix before the end of that run.

If thats the case, itll be all tied up on February 26. That paves the way for a potential Stone Ocean episode 13 release date of March 1, 2022 if the streamer wants to kick off another month with a batch of JoJos adventures.

I cannot live without the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series, and it is also what inspired me to take on voice-acting as a profession. So when I heard that I was going to be able to participate in the series, I was lost for words and surprised that Even a Stand would be blown to the moon. I cried so much as it was literally the moment my dream came true, which I have chased over for 12 years.

I love and admire Jolyne as a character and her beautiful, strong nature gave me strength especially during my student years, so I am grateful for the opportunity to voice Jolyne.

The manga is the sixth part of Araki’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure manga, and it continues the story from the previous entries. The manga takes place in 2011, after Golden Wind, and centers on Jolyne Cujoh, the daughter of Stardust Crusaders protagonist Jotaro Kujo. After Jolyne is framed for murder and sent to prison, she must face off against a former follower of Dio.

The sixth edition is set near Port St. Lucie, Florida in 2011. The story follows our protagonist Jolyne who is framed for murder. She is the daughter of Stardust Crusaders Jotaro Kujo. She is held at Green Dolphin Street Jail. Its a maximum-security prison that gained the nickname The Aquarium. Similar to Alcatraz, it was built on an isolated island.

Things look grim for her as she is manipulated into serving a longer sentence. She is ready to accept her fate, but her situation changes when she pricks her finger on a piece of the magical bow Dio once possessed. This material is used to give Stand powers to other characters. Jolyne awakens her latent Stand powers, which is Stone Free. Stone Free looks like a cyan-blue Android wearing shades. It represents Jolynes tenacity to get out of Stone Ocean, her nickname for the Green Dolphin Street Jail.

Stone Free possesses incredible power and speed. Additionally, Jolyne can unwind her body into an elastic thread. She uses this ability to slice foes or eavesdrop by picking up sound wave vibrations. Since My Hero Academia Season 4 is confirmed, why wouldnt the JoJo: Stone Ocean anime also be greenlit for production?

It is still possible JoJo: Stone Ocean was pushed back if David Productions schedule was impacted by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

Although its only been on Netflix for a few days as of this writing, JoJos Bizarre Adventures Part 6 has already received overwhelmingly positive feedback. Not only are critics giving Stone Ocean Part 1 stellar reviews, but numerous fans have taken to Reddit to praise the latest batch of episodes. Some are even suggesting this could be the animes best outing yet.

Jojo Part 6 Anime Discussed By David Production Staff At Anime Expo 2019

During Anime Expo 2019, some of the team at David Production discussed the JoJos Bizarre Adventure anime.

To give you an idea of how much care they put into JoJo Part 5: Golden Wind, the three directors, manga creator Hirohiko Araki, and the producer visited many locations throughout Italy to get a feel for the area.

It was like a working vacation, and Arakis favorite Italian food is tomato spaghetti.

Araki described JoJo Part 5 as being about characters who have no choices or places to belong. They are people who live in the underworld, and the most important aspect is the beautiful men and how they are perishing.

Arakis favorite character is Guido Mista because of his loyalty and certainty.

When David Production was asked about JoJo Part 6 during Anime Expo 2019, the only thing they would say is that the production of the JoJos Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean anime entirely depends on fans supporting the current anime TV show, including buying the Blu-Ray/DVD for JoJo: Golden Wind .

This is pretty much the standard response for any Japanese animation studio when theyre asked about an anime sequel before theyre ready to make an official announcement.

To put the response in context, theyve said the same thing before the release of previous parts. Some fans interpreted this as a confirmation of sorts.

In terms of specific manga volumes, the Stone Ocean anime is going to adapt the 17-volume story that ran in Shonen Jump from 2000 to 2003.

The official Netflix synopsis reads: “2011, United States, Florida when Jolyne Cujoh and her boyfriend get in an accident while out on a drive, she is framed for the crime and sentenced to 15 years in prison. Will she ever be free from this prison this stone ocean? The final battle in the century-spanning, intertwining fate of the Joestar family and DIO begins!”

Its also worth noting that, all being well, this wont be the final season of JoJos Bizarre Adventure. Thats because there are two more parts Steel Ball Run and the JoJolion saga still left to adapt. That should take the overall part count to eight and the overall season count to seven when all is said and done.

Predicting When New Episodes Of Jojos Bizarre Adventure Could Arrive

If one had to guess when the next chapter of JoJos Bizarre Adventure might arrive, they could look to a series like Great Pretender. Another Netflix anime albeit not quite as widely recognized as JoJos the series was also broken up into multiple parts by the streamer. The first arrived in August 2020, while the second round of episodes was released in November of the same year.

If Stone Ocean Part 2 sees a similar release pattern, that means the wait wont be too long. In fact, it could come out during the Winter 2022 or Spring 2022 anime seasons. And with so many other series planned for those seasons, fans will have plenty to keep them occupied in the interim.
