Done Right: The Team Coming Together

The Death of Bleach | What Happened?

One thing the anime was able to portray: how the entire team ended up coming together for the final battle. Maka & Soul, Black Star & Tsubaki, Death the Kid along with Liz and Patty. They were all there.

That’s just to list the main characters that were involved there were plenty of secondary characters who became involved as well. This is true in both the anime and the manga, and it’s refreshing to see it hold together.

Disappointing: Missing Major Sections Of The Plot

One of the biggest complaints about the way the Soul Eater anime ended is that it cut out so much from the manga. Not just bits here and there whole plot arcs were removed, heavily altered, and worse.

The final series of events was bound to be drastically different thanks to all of these changes, a fact that was made worse by cutting out even more. In fact, that whole entire final battle went quite a bit differently and it is worth reading the manga to make direct comparisons.

‘gintama’ Anime Confirms Silver Soul Arc Debut

Gintama fans have been waiting to see when the anime series’ final arc, Silver Soul, would return after it started a hiatus in March and luckily the wait is almost over as the series is returning in July.

After the series announced it would be returning sometime in July, it was recently confirmed that the next phase of the “Silver Soul” arc is slated to begin July 8.

The “Gintama: Silver Soul Arc” S2 anime series will resume July 8th

If you haven’t seen the first season yet, the “Silver Soul” arc is the 64th and final arc of series creator Hideaki Sorachi’s manga. The longest running arc in the series to date, “Silver Soul” begins when Utsuro – whose immortality has forced him to find a way to truly die – reveals his final plan: to start a war that’ll encompass the entire universe and lead to the destruction of the Earth. Gintoki then must team with old allies and make friends with older enemies in order to stop the rising army of space aliens – the Amanto – from wreaking havoc.

The series has seen different forms since its initial anime run from 2006 to 2010, with a second series airing from 2011 to 2013 with sporadic hiatuses in-between, a third series running from 2015 to 2016, two feature-length animated films, a few OVAs, and even a live action film releasing in Japan last July.

Why Does Cutting Out Part Of Orochimarus Soul Cause Him To Lose The Use Of His Arms

When Orochimaru and the Third Hokage fight after the Chunin exam, the Third Hokage has the Shinigami cut out part of his soul, “taking away his jutsu” by making him lose the use of his arms. How does that work? Why does it specifically make his arms not work? Logically, it would pull from the part was the farthest from the chest where it was being pulled from, which would be the feet. Why is that not what happens?

I’ve just re-watched the scene in the anime where that happened, and it looked to me like the death god was clearly pulling on the part of Orochimaru’s spirit that controls his arms. That just happens to be where the death god was pulling on, and it happens to only have been pulled out to his elbows or so.

Maybe the 3rd drew the arms out on purpose because he deemed that to be the easiest or most effective thing to pull out first in-case he only had to partially do the job.

There’s really not much more to it than that.

If you believe in how a soul works, then it’s linked to all bodily functions.

Thing is, Kabuto must have came up with something to allow Orochimaru to switch bodies and repair the damage to his soul, because even if there was another way for Orochimaru to jump bodies, the damage to his soul would have prevented him using his arms. I’m quite sure when he fights Naruto, and Naruto uses the Nine-Tails’ Cloak, he’s using his arms .

Disappointing: The Way Asura Falls

Unfortunately, there are certain things that were done wrong in terms of Asura. More accurately, the way he fell in the anime didn’t hold up to the ending he was given in the manga. As mentioned above, in the manga, Crona gave up everything in order to once again create a prison for Asura.

In the anime, Asura was ultimately killed, not trapped. He was once again driven to a point of insanity and paranoia, and eventually ruptured when it became too much to bear.

Disappointing: Death The Kid’s Lack Of Status Change

The status of Death the Kid is drastically different between the manga and the anime. In the anime, Death the Kid is much the same, albeit slightly more confident in his abilities. In the manga, Death the Kid has a whole new level of confidence and responsibility.

The anime failed to give Death the Kid one of his biggest changes. After his father’s death , Death the Kid becomes the next Shinigami in his place. Obviously, that means that all of the following decisions by Death the Kid are different between the anime and the manga.

Black Butler Season 2 Ending

In the end, the reason Ciel’s soul was stolen was that Sebastian was accused of causing a chain of events that resulted in the destruction of Alois’ village and the death of his younger brother. However, it is later revealed that Sebastian had nothing to do with it and that Hannah was the true perpetrator, leaving viewers to wonder what the point of this season was other than to haphazardly bring Sebastian and Ciel back to secure viewership. While the first season’s ending was solid and provided a satisfying conclusion, the second season’s ending appeared tragic and was anything but satisfying, leaving many fans confused and disappointed.

Black Butler Season 2 Ending Explained

According to CBR.com, Ciel is a conflicted anti-hero on a quest for vengeance, while Alois is a spoiled, obnoxious boy who enjoys cruelly bullying Hannah, his maid. Despite Ciel’s methods, the audience understands his rage as a result of pain and trauma, seeking revenge but leaving innocent people alone. Alois, on the other hand, is cruel for no other reason than shock value and to establish himself as the season’s antagonist.

While the first season built a mystery by subtly leaving hints for the audience to pick up on, ultimately weaving all of the pieces together to form a complete puzzle, the second season was anything but subtle, prioritising exposition over everything else. However, the supernatural elements suffer from the same lack of subtlety. In season two, these elements are out in the open, where any ordinary civilian could come across them at any time, leaving one to wonder how these demon butlers have gone unnoticed.
