Atlus Job Listing Has Good News For Persona Fans And Persona 6

Persona 3 FES : Is It Even Good?

A new Atlus job listing has good news for fans of the Persona series and for the release of Persona 6, which hasn’t been officially announced or even confirmed, but is certainly inevitable given the success of Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal. Between the Persona series and its other games like Catherine, Atlus has made a habit of releasing its games in Japan first. For example, both Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal were released in Japan months before they were released in the west. When this happens, big Persona fans have two options: import the games and play them in Japanese or painfully wait for the western release. Neither choice is a very good one, but it looks like this choice may be a thing of the past.

Atlus is currently hiring for its “Overseas Business Promotion Team,” a team that handles the global marketing of Atlus games. And as you can see via a blurb straight from the job listing, the goal is to ultimately have simultaneous launches.

Now, does this mean Persona 6 will have a global launch? No, but it sure does sound like that will be the aim. And it should be. Persona is far too big of a series to not have a global launch.

Falling Down Features Two Characters Not From The Original Game

As with many popular games, Persona 3 has had a few ports, which allow the game to be played on other consoles besides the one it was originally designed for. One of these is Persona 3 Portable. This is the first Persona game to feature the option to follow a Female Protagonist instead of a Male Protagonist.

On the Female Protagonists game route, two characters, Rio and Saori, are introduced, who otherwise dont appear in Persona 3. Despite this, they are both featured in Falling Down.

Can You Watch The Persona Series Without Playing The Games

The anime adaptation of Persona isnt as good as the games but is still very entertaining. You can watch the anime before playing the games and still enjoy the games if you decide to get into them later on.

The only underwhelming aspect of the Persona series is its main character. Since the anime is adapted from a video game, the original main character was the player itself.

Since the player could customize the main character, however, they wanted to, they had no specific quirk in the game.

Also, in the original games, the mc was a silent protagonist and fundamentally had a silent and cool aura.

There no dialogue for the MC in games, and this factor affected the anime MC and, thus, had a not-so-interesting personality.

There Is An Easter Egg In Midsummer Knights Dream

Anyone familiar with the Persona games knows about Phoenix Ranger Featherman R, a super sentai show along the same lines as Power Rangers, which exists in the Persona universe. While the films dont directly reference this series’s existence, there is an easter egg at the Summer Festival that gives a little wink toward fans. At a display, the five masks of the characters can be seen hanging in a scene’s background.

Persona : Better First Act

beamknight87blog: Persona 3 The Movie #1: Spring of Birth

Persona 4s opening hours are painfully slow. So much time is unnecessarily spent establishing Inaba and other characters through cutscenes, when gameplay would have done the trick just fine, if not better. Persona 5 would correct this with a comparatively brisker introduction, but whats jarring is that Persona 3 didnt have this problem.

Persona 3 takes its time setting the foundation for the game, but it also understands that audiences need a taste of the game early. Its not long before players are controlling the main character and not much longer until theyre dungeon crawling and fighting Shadows on the daily.

How Good Are The Persona 3 Movies And The Persona 4 Anime

Finished Persona 5 a few days ago and it was an amazing game. I want to play more but sadly Persona 3 & 4 arent available on PS4 or PS3 so I was thinking about watching the anime.

Are they good adaptations?

P4 Animation and Golden Animation are more fan service than anything, but I thoroughly enjoyed both after I had finished P4G. I watched all four of the subbed P3 movies before starting P3FES to get into the characters and story and I’ve been watching them again as I go through the game. As much as I adore the movies the game definitely tells the story better . I also recently finished Trinity Soul, the non-cannon P3ish anime, but the plot gets a bit convoluted and confusing towards the end and I’d only recommend it if you desperate for something to watch. The soundtracks for all the animes and movies are worth listening too as well, even Trinty Soul has some great tracks on its OST.

You can play P3 and P4 on PS3.. its on the PS2 classics section. Although, tbh I would just recommend getting a Vita and playing the superior versions . As for the anime/movie, I would argue against the P3 movies being a good way of experiencing the game just because it rushes a lot of the boss battles, etc. and the social links are almost entirely ignored.. the movies also didnt carry the same emotion the game did. P4Animation is pretty good, it takes away a lot of the chunk of what made the game great.

The Games Composer Scored The Music For The First Film

Shoji Meguro, who composed the music for the Persona 3 game, came onboard to also do the music for Spring of Birth, aiming to recreate some of the game’s musical motifs that fans like. However, he didnt score the subsequent films. Tetsuya Kobayashi took over a role.

He did, however, make individual musical tracks for the soundtracks of both Midsummer Knights Dream and Falling to help keep the feel of the game.

Persona : Better Characters

Persona 4 has a very likable cast, but theyre not well developed beyond their introduction. Almost all of their Social Links fail to expand their characters in meaningful ways and the plot doesnt allow them to grow, keeping them stunted once theyre recruited. Its not great considering theyre such a lively cast.

Persona 3 doesnt have this problem at all, with every single character having their own arc thats resolved over the course of the story. Everyone contributes meaningfully, everyone plays an important narrative role, and everyone changes. No one feels like a bit player in Persona 3 whereas only Yu, Yosuke, Naoto, and Teddie ultimately matter to P4s plot.

So I Watched The Persona 3 Movies

PERSONA 3 THE MOVIE: #1 SPRING OF BIRTH (ENG SUB).

They’re pretty good.

Persona 5 is my first persona game, I fell in love with it, and so naturally when I finished it, I wanted more. I couldn’t play the other games as I don’t have a vita, ps2, and my toaster of computer can’t run a demo for minecraft so you can guess i can’t run any emulators. So when i found out there were anime adaptations of Persona 3 and 4, I wanted to watch them.

I quite literally finished the 4th film about 30 minutes ago, as of the time writing this, and I like Persona 3, a lot. I think I like Persona 3’s music a bit more than Persona 5’s music. You know how Persona 5’s music is like acid jazz or somethin like that, well Persona 3’s music is like rap and jazz, it’s weird but it’s good weird.

The Story was good too. I liked the way how the Dark Hour worked, it was different from Persona 5’s way of dealing with shadows. I also like how everyone awakened to their persona, and what the casts persona are. Everybody’s persona were based off of Greek mythology, and I loved the MC’S main Persona too, Orpheus and Thanatos have really cool designs

The characters were all cool too! The MC gave me this emo trash vibe at first but then at the end, I wanted this fucker to win and beat the heck outta the boss. Everyone had these slick and cool designs, made wanna doodle some art of them.

I’m posting this here instead of r/Megaten so other sort-of-still-a-noobs who finished Persona 5 who want to see if Persona 3 is worth watching. It’s worth watching.

Persona 4 Golden: The Animation

Persona 4 fans could tell you this in detail, but those just starting their Persona anime quest might be confused with both Persona 4: The Animation and Persona 4 Golden: The Animation existing. Golden was a remastered and expanded edition of Persona 4 that came out a few years after the original game. Instead of just making an OVA or film to cover the new content, an entirely new Persona 4 anime that takes place from the beginning of the game was animated.

Unfortunately, it tells a much more truncated version of events that more or less demands you to have either played the game or seen the first anime, despite it telling a story youll have already experienced two or three times.

Skip it unless you love or want to love Marie, pictured above.

Persona : Better Bosses

Persona 3 has a lot of great boss fights, but it also has a lot of filler boss fights that have no place being in the game and only exist to give players something to fight as they battle their way through Tartarus. Persona 4 opts for far more focused fights, leading to boss fights that can easily stop players in their tracks.

Maybe thats not a good thing for everyone, but Persona 4s bosses require more strategy on a whole than Persona 3s. Which is kind of funny considering Persona 3s combat system was built on giving orders to other party members. Maybe thats why some bosses are underwhelming, though.

Persona : Better Social Links

While Persona 3 may be the better written game overall, it really fumbles when it comes to Social Links. They get the job done and some still hold out as series standouts, but most of them are incredibly short, simple, and dont have much in the way of character depth. Which is fine for members of SEES since they develop as part of the story, but not so much for everyone else.

Persona 4 not only has better Social Link variety, but theyre far more engaging and require doing more than just kissing up when answering questions. The Social Link of specific characters end up being the best ones in Persona 4, having an opportunity to grow in a dynamic way that most of Persona 3s Social Links lacked.

Persona : The Animation

10 New Persona 3 Fes Wallpaper FULL HD 1920×1080 For PC ...

A scenic rural Japanese town, a bunch of zany new friends, and a string of murders happening inside the TV dimension! While Persona 3 reinvented Persona, Persona 4 was what solidified the franchise as a fixture in the gaming landscape.

Fans werent too pleased with Persona 4 the Animation at the time, but in retrospect, its a perfectly faithful adaptation that strived to not just tell the story but impart the essence of the games onto its viewers. While it had abridged itself to some degree, the P4 anime is a perfectly good way to revisit your favorite cast of characters without the time commitment.

Persona 3s characters are designed to be animated on 3D models, which is different from animating them for a 2D film. This means that some of their character details are changed to look more natural onscreen. Some things are different that didnt necessarily have to change but make the characters look more unique to the film. For example, some of them have different hair colors or eye colors.

    Persona : Better Dungeons

Persona 3 FES Cutscenes :ã?Good Ending | Memories of You (“Kimi no Kiokou”) Ending SongãHD

Tartarus gets a bad rep, but its not like its some marvel of dungeon design. Its a decent procedurally generated dungeon with a well paced progressive. Other than that, its not much beyond a playground for battles. Persona 4 actually opts for real dungeon design and even tosses in some puzzles here and there.

They still arent perfect by any means and procedural generation plays its role, but Persona 4 dungeons are better focused and better themed. Plus, dungeons are such a key staple of the JRPG formula . Tartarus ends up sticking out unfavorably as a result

The Biggest Challenge To The Film Was Creating The Protagonist

As any fan of the Persona games knows, the main characters are just named the Protagonist until the game player names them and helps shape their personalities by making choices for them and choosing their dialogue throughout the game. Creating a main character for the film was challenging, as the character needed to be someone engaging to fans despite not being able to create the character themselves. Akitaya tried to create a character named Makoto Yuki, who captured the most general traits that players give the Protagonist.

    Persona : Better Second Act

On the flip-side, Persona 3 dedicates most of its second act to, well, not that much. The plot takes a back seat to move characters into place for the last act. Its necessary, but its admittedly uneventful and this portion of the game is really meant to be a gameplay dive. Persona 4 manages to balance its second act much better.

Not only is the story arguably reaching its first tipping point by this point, but Persona 4 generally keeps a more active plotline. Theres less down time and far more instances of characters getting together outside of a dungeon crawling context. It keeps the pace moving.

As the title suggests, this is the first and only version Ive played through to completion, and despite its setbacks, its the version Id recommend to newcomers, especially those used to more recent JRPGs. This PSP adaptation essentially takes FES, adds even more new features, and makes it more streamlined with some quality of life improvements never before seen in Persona. Case in point: this is the first time in the franchises history that party members moves in battle are able to be controlled by the player and not the A.I. To me and Im sure many other newcomers, the prospect of playing any RPG without controllable party members seemed pretty blasphemous in the first place, so the mechanic alone was enough to convince me to break out the Vita and download this version.

While the freedom to waste healing items on my own terms was more than enough to push me over the fence, there were plenty of other additions that acted as the icing on the cake. These include the return of skill cards from P4G , weakness exploitation changed to emulate P4s battle system, and new in-dungeon dialogue between party members. The list goes on, and while I cant say missing these features would make me dislike FES, they still added to the experience all the same. This isnt even mentioning Portable has an exclusive campaign starring a female protagonist whose new perspective, character interactions, and s. links make a second playthrough oh-so-tempting despite the massive time commitment.
