Akutami Geges Health Problems A Factor

“IT”S LIKE THAT”!? Anime only to Manga only [Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 64 Reaction]

The elephant in the room is that Akutami has not been healthy in 2021. Early in the year, the JJK author took a short break from an unspecified sudden illness.

In March 2021, a second week-long break was announced. Then in June 2021 a longer Jujutsu Kaisen hiatus was announced.

In the past, Akutami did not have a history of taking breaks and this was the first time any health issues were mentioned publicly.

It was revealed that Akutami was asked by the Weekly Shonen Jump editorial department to take a break from the manga series. But the creator didnt want to slow down the weekly serialization so that the;Jujutsu Kaisen mangas ending;could be drawn as soon as possible.

Hopefully, the JJK hiatus schedule wont be too bad. But if history is any guide then its likely the mangaka could be taking a series of breaks into the future, which will of course impact the creators plans for releasing the ending.

Jujutsu Kaisen Manga Ending By 2023 Says Author Gege Akutami In Interview

The Jujutsu Kaisen mangas ending is coming faster than many fans may have expected. In an interview with Mando Kobayashi on February 27, 2021, manga creator Gege Akutami stated that he intends on finishing the manga in less than 2 years, which means the final chapter should be released in 2023.

Akutami has been discussing his plans for the manga series for a long time. In a 2020 interview, Akutami said he had already planned out the Jujutsu Kaisen mangas ending.

Hed even mapped out the major plot points of the story, although he admits that the path between the two remains fairly free.

In the February 2021 interview, Akutami updated his progress by saying that was he was more than halfway done with the manga series as planned. He is estimating he is about 60 to 70 percent done at this point, hence why he will be done by 2023.

In making these statements, Akutami was careful to say that he will probably finish in 2023, indicating that hes not 100 percent confident in his own estimate. He also compared his progress to the Mt. Fuji summit trail, stating that hes around station 6 or 7 out of the nine station checkpoints that lead to the mountains summit.

The overall ending is still going as planned, but the only question is how to handle ending the individual character arcs. Hes already decided on the endings for Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro, but hes not sure yet what hes going to do with the primary antagonist, the King of Curses Sukuna.

Jujutsu Kaisen Manga Vs Anime What Are The Differences

So far, Season 1 of the anime has been pretty faithful to the mangas source material. The beginning is a little more dramatic and the fights last longer and are more epic thanks to the animated format,;but several small changes are anecdotal and funny to point out:

  • The scene where Yujis classmates hide to escape spells;lasts much longer in the anime;to provide a greater sense of fear.
  • The scene from EP 2 where Yuji visits his grandfathers grave does not exist in the manga, but was shown;on the cover of a chapter of the manga!
  • The scene in EP 5 where Sukuna tears Yujis heart apart is much more violent in the anime.;In the manga, a dialogue bubble hides almost everything.
  • The animes EP 6 invented the scene with the restaurants burns.
  • The anime also added;easter eggs, winks to other licenses .

Moreover, the manga is not finished yet and the anime will have to wait not only for the publication of the new chapters, but also for the writers dealing with the adaptation to find the time to work on it.

There’s A Mole Among The Sorcerors

Season 1 of;Jujutsu Kaisen paints a picture of a very insular and tradition-bound sorcerer society. So insular, in fact, that there appears to a lot of generational distrust — especially between Gojo and Principal Gakuganji. As well as his disagreement with the sorcery world’s higher-ups on how to deal with the Itadori/Sukuna situation, the prodigious teacher suspects that there’s a traitor among those we meet during the Sister School Exchange arc, in which the students of Jujutsu Tech took part in a showdown against Kyoto Met.

Utihime Iori, one of Kyoto’s first-grade teachers and the few people Gojo seems to fully trust, agrees to help him by hunting down clues as to who the mole is at her school when the two institutions part ways. While we’re none the wiser as to which sorcerer could be working on the side of the Curses by Season 1’s end, Gojo does call Utihime to see if her investigation has turned up anything — hinting that answers will come in a sequel season.

Theres Less Room For Character Development In The Anime

As in much shonen anime, Jujutsu Kaisen has a lot of characters in an ensemble cast. In the manga, theres a little more room to develop these characters and their relationships with each other. But in the anime, theres a limited amount of space to really delve into who these people are, especially considering how much there is to cover in the plot in such a small number of episodes. This can lead to some of the characters feeling forced into the series and like they come out of nowhere.

From Manga to Anime! How Far Will Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 Go?! – Jujutsu Kaisen Anime Explained

Now the game will finally progress because Hakari has finally agreed to help them in the showdown game. Its been a while since weve seen any of the Jujutsu High students plotting or planning something outside of the game.

As a bonus, we will have the opportunity to learn more about Hakaris techniques and skills. We will also see what Yuta and the other students are doing, if we are lucky. It will be fascinating to see how much Yuta has progressed in the game, able to take on many enemies on her own.

Another important consideration is keeping an eye on Makis situation. This is the first time weve met her since the Zenin Clan was destroyed, so we can look forward to learning more about her in the next chapter.

Jogos Diner Scene Is Elongated

Going from a comedic change to a dramatic one, lets talk about the Special-Grade Cursed Spirits that show up partway through Jujutsu Kaisens first season. Namely, Jogo, Mojito, Hanami, and Dagon. Early on, Suguru Geto meets with these Cursed Spirits in a diner to discuss their plan. But, as Jogo gets more and more annoyed throughout the course of the conversation, he starts to expel a lot of heat.

Once the topic of discussion is over, Jogo decides just to slaughter everyone in the diner as a way of “showing” he can fight Satoru Gojo. In the manga, this scene happens quickly and is an easy-to-understand way of showing how absurdly strong Jogo is as a curse. In the anime, they elongate this scene, making it intentionally uncomfortable to even watch.

There Are Some Differences In Character Designs

Most anime adaptations try to keep the character designs fairly close to the original seen in the manga. But since the art style is almost always slightly different, due to the manga creator not personally drawing it, and due to the fact that manga is mostly drawn in black and white, the characters sometimes look slightly different in the anime. For instance, Mahito, whose face is made up of a patchwork design anyway, has heterochromia, meaning he has two different colored eyes, in the anime to further push this design.

Question : In The Prequel Manga Miguel Is An Antagonist In The Main Jujutsu Kaisen Manga Hes Good Whats His Deal

The first time we see Miguel is in the prequel manga, when he is on Team Suguru Geto, wreaking havoc on Jujutsu High. This story takes place a year before the start of the main Jujutsu Kaisen manga and ends with the death of Suguru Geto. In the last chapter, we see Miguel fight with and lose to Satoru Gojo and then we never see him again.

Cut to the present and here , we see Yuta tell the others that he and Miguel were in Africa in search of any remnants of a black rope that can disrupt and cancel the effects of cursed techniques. We even see him in the second opening of the anime walking ahead of Yuta.

So, what happened between the prequel and the current story? The Jujutsu Kaisen fan page, however, states that Miguel was forcefully recruited by Satoru Gojo. How and why this happens, I dont know. I wasnt able to find any answers to this question, but it seems possible that Gojo won him over after Geto dies. I mean, if you had to choose between fighting against Satoru Gojo, the greatest sorcerer in the world, and fighting alongside him, what would you do?

Question : Why Is Sukuna So Interested In Megumi Fushiguro

Jujutsu Kaisen Ending

There is a theory that Sukuna wants Megumi to make him a new body to possess. I dont know how plausible this theory is because I am not sure if Megumi can conjure up a shikigami that can serve as a good enough vessel for Sukuna. According to the fan page, Megumis Ten Shadows Technique allows him to conjure up to 10 shikigami with his shadows. It is possible that there is a particular type of shikigami Sukuna wants Megumi to conjure for purposes other than to be used as a vessel.

What I want to know is if it is possible for other curse users to make Sukuna a cursed corpse to possess. Would that be a better option than a shikigami?

Megumis technique is based on mythology and it is theorized that once all the shikigami are summoned, a wish will be granted. Sounds a little like Drabon Ball to me, so I am unsure about this.

Anyway, I have no idea what Sukuna has planned for our boy Megumi. I dont think there is any use trying to predict this guy because he likes to go left after turning on the right side blinker.

Lets move on, shall we?

The Fight Between Sukuna & Megumi Is Exaggerated

Now, in terms of exaggeration, the Jujutsu Kaisen anime does it a fair amount. Usually, its pretty subtle or small, but in the case of the fight between Megumi and a Sukuna-possessed Itadori outside of the Juvenile Detention Center case early on, they sort of turned it into a Super Saiyan battle rather than a fight between Jujutsu Sorcerers.

In the manga, Sukuna launches Megumi high into the air then spikes him down into the apartment complex. But, in the anime, Sukuna punches him so hard he skids off two different rooftops, then gets punched through what looks like five separate concrete walls. The end result is the same, but the anime implies that Megumi has some absurd durability when thats always been Itadoris thing. To be fair, it’s not like the series was ever “realistic”, but this was a bit jump in believability.

Jujutsu Kaisen: End Of The Manga Announced What Direction For The Anime

The creator of the manga;Jujutsu Kaisen;has already announced the color:I know how to end this story.;He also admits that only two points remain suspended, whilehe wants to conclude the manga before 2023.;According to him, half of the arcs he imagined are already explored and the general end is already detailed in a notebook. In it, the last moments of;Itadori;and;Fushiguro;are sealed.

Gege Akutami, the mangaka, was seriously ill in early 2021. The mangas release schedule was delayed a bit, as;was One Piece, which also came close to a rushed end when creator Eiichiro Oda was in the hospital.;He regained strength in the meantime but decided to take another;break in June 2021 after new health problems.

Jujutsu Kaisen Manga To Resume On August 2 After Hiatus For Health Reasons

posted on

The official Twitter account for Jujutsu Kaisen manga will resume in this year’s 35th issue, which will ship on August 2. The manga went on hiatus in the 29th issue on June 21 due to Akutami’s poor health.

Akutami had said that the manga’s hiatus will be “around a month,” and assured fans that the health condition was not serious.

Viz Media publishes the manga in English and it describes the story:

In a world where demons feed on unsuspecting humans, fragments of the legendary and feared demon Ryoma Sukuna were lost and scattered about. Should any demon consume Sukuna’s body parts, the power they gain could destroy the world as we know it. Fortunately, there exists a mysterious school of Jujutsu Sorcerers who exist to protect the precarious existence of the living from the supernatural!

Yuji Itadori is high schooler who spends his days visiting his bedridden grandfather. Although he looks like your average teenager, his immense physical strength is something to behold! Every sports club wants him to join, but Itadori would rather hang out with the school outcasts in the Occult Club. One day, the club manages to get their hands on a sealed cursed object, but little do they know the terror they’ll unleash when they break the seal…

Combat Has Extra Moves & Added Flair

Jujutsu Kaisen Ending ~Every Anime Version~ Lost in Paradise

Lastly, lets talk a bit more about the combat in the anime adaptation. The combat scenes, for the most part, are so incredibly well composited and animated. When people are fighting hand to hand, it looks like martial arts, and then when they use their curse techniques it gets a lot more supernatural.

The dynamic camera, the extra moves, the added flair, its all stuff that was added in the anime, and it all works so well. Sure, sometimes Mappa exaggerated the damage a character would do to another in comparison to the manga , but honestly, it’s worth it for how incredibly all these battles end up looking.
