What Is A Good Anime To Watch

Todays Menu At The Emiya Family

Good Anime To Watch on Hulu

Todays Menu is set in the Fate universe, which usually involves mages making contracts with historys greatest heroes to fight over the holy grail. But you dont really need to know anything about any of the Fate shows to watch it. The show involves characters from the original Fate series , but throws aside all the drama about fighting over the holy grail, and instead presents a very relaxed show about cooking.

The series was released monthly over the course of 2018, with each episode featuring a dish thats roughly tied to that months events. A typical episode follows high schooler Shirou Emiya as he tries to decide what to make for dinner, usually running into some of the other characters while hes shopping for ingredients, which inspires what he makes. Then he returns home, where the show beautifully animates him preparing the meal. So for instance, the January 1st episode is set on New Years Eve, and features him cooking soba, which is traditionally eaten in Japan on New Years Eve.

That release schedule also means the animators had a ton of time to work on Todays Menu, compared to the turnover required for a weekly show. And since the food is depicted realistically, as opposed to stylized, like you might see in a Ghibli film, it allows the creators more than enough time to keep production quality of the animation high for every single episode. Its definitely not a show to watch if you are hungry.

Streaming on Crunchyroll.

Thousands of years later, the sage is reborn as Matthias and learns that the current worlds skill of magic has grown weaker. Unlike most popular isekai where the protagonists are teleported from the modern world to a fantasy world, this series sees Matthias portal into the future. For someone thats pretty much the strongest person in the world, itll be interesting to see how he balances his growing fame and responsibilities with his longtime goal of gaining strength. The series is available on Crunchyroll and VRV.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron

Is there any good happy/funny anime to watch?

Practically every entry in the long-running Gundam maxiseries is about the human cost of using child soldiers in combat, but Iron-Blooded Orphans makes its metaphors much more explicit. The main characters of this show are members of Tekkadan, a private security firm made up of young kids who are referred to as human debris throughout the series. When they happen upon a powerful weapon , they rise up against their masters and go into business for themselves. Iron-Blooded Orphans pulls no punches, down to the creepy blood-squelching sound effects used when the young soldiers jack in, Matrix-style, to their mecha.

Nobody can match his mind games and calculation , everyone else will feel like a kid as compared to him. Now there is action , cute characters and good plot , school setting. Totally worth watching.

Natsume’s Book Of Friends

First aired: 2008 | Episodes: 74Where to watch: Crunchyroll

Growing up hasn’t been easy for Natsume, because he’s an orphan, and also because he can see yokai, or spirits, that no one else can. This makes him a bit of an outcast, but when he inherits a book from his late grandmother, his life suddenly makes a lot more sense. She could see spirits, too, and “bound” many of them to her in the Book of Friends, which is why they now hound poor Natsume.

The simple premise of the show is that Natsume seeks out these spirits in order to restore their names to them and unbind them. It’s a show that manages to be melancholy and heartwarming from episode to episode and even moment to moment. It’s a slice-of-life series with a touch of the supernatural, but what makes it great is how it uses those supernatural encounters to tell human stories. Getting to watch Natsume grow across many seasons keeps the formula from feeling rote.

But because this is Fruits Basket, everyone has their own share of trauma, Akito included. The emotional final season of Fruits Basket reveals that all is not what it seems when it comes to Akito. When the big moment happens, its a sweeping emotional catharsis for everyone. Have tissues on hand. Petrana Radulovic

Sentai Filmworks has been doing English dubbing on anime more often in recent years. They make it so that people can enjoy the anime. Sentai Filmworks is one of the best companies for making those dubs happen because they do a good job.

Ninja Slayer was a great show. It had some problems, but these did not stop the show from being good. The character of Ninja Slayer had lots of voice actors and Bryce Papenbrook did a great job as this character.

Children Of The Whales

Children of the Whales plays with the idea of a postapocalyptic world racked by ecological disaster, this time as a global desert instead of an ocean. A pocket of survivors now lives on a giant floating city called the Mud Whale, and a majority of them developed psychokinetic abilities. Its 12 episodes explore what happens when the Mud Whale encounters another island with very different beliefs, and the conflict that follows. And while thats all interesting, its stylized animation, watercolorlike backgrounds, and slow pace put the show in a class of its own.Watch it if you love: Dune, Mortal Engines

Have You Run Out Of “GOOD” Anime To Watch?

Director: Tomoki MisatoAnimation production: Shin-Ei Animation, Japan Green HeartsTheres not a whole lot to say about Pui Pui Molcar, but thats the beauty of it. The adorable, quite literally bite-sized childrens anime maximizes on a premise thats just delightfully absurd and straightforward: What if there were cars that were also guinea pigs? Animated in stop-motion, the show depicts a world where people drive these sentient, guinea pig hybrid vehicles known as the Molcars , each episode a display of their various hijinks and subsequent problem-solving. Theres a tactility to the show and its furry vehicular protagonists that makes it eminently watchable and thats before the artists begin throwing in visual references to famous movies, ie. the Akira bike slide. It cranks up the absurdity in sketches that flirt with amusing bleakness as the adorable MolCars are forced at gunpoint to take part in a bank robbery. Each new episode is light, fun and creative, as it capitalizes on a concept that is as simple as it is ridiculous, each charming story told within an incredibly breezy and economical 2-3 minutes. Truly a blessing.

Patlabor: The Tv Series

Patlabor pulls the mecha genre out from space operas and away from all those cosmic threats, and lands it in for a more upbeat earthbound approach. Created in the twilight of Japans economic boom before the bubble burst in 1992, the series glitters with a positive, progressive outlook on the near-future of the island nation, where commercial-grade mechs called Labors have integrated within every day life, powering transportation, manufacturing, land development, and more avenues of industry. We follow the colorful, motley crew of officers at Second Special Vehicles Division, who combat a variety of Labor-related crimes. Less overtly political than the OVA and movie timeline, The TV Series is an appealing breakdown of a unique police units inner workings that, in its best episodes, feels like an office sitcom whose lessons are delivered through giant robot beatdowns.

Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan

A spinoff of JoJos Bizarre Adventure, this is fully the show of Kisibe Rohan, a narcissistic manga artist and side character of that series, who in this show works as a sort of Nick Carrawayesque narrator of supernatural and violent self-contained stories, pulled from his globe-trotting endeavors. Despite its title, it has little connection to Nietzsche its original Japanese title apparently translates, loosely, to Rohan Kishibe does not change, a true enough statement.Watch it if you love:Wuthering Heights The Great Gatsby

Fullmetal Alchemist And Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

5 Anime for Absolute Beginners to Binge

Not quite as cerebral or surreal as other shows in this list, FMA is a tightly wound high-fantasy series that has garnered several generations of fans. A bit of explanation: Full Metal Alchemist takes a turn halfway through that changes the story vastly from the series source material, while Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood is a more strictly adhered-to adaptation of the original books. Most FMA acolytes think the latter is far superior, but both are excellent. Telling the story of Edward and Alphonse Elric, brothers who survived a traumatic magical accident now hoping to right their mistakes of the past, the show explores themes of filial piety and the ramifications of global war.

Haganai I Dont Have Many Friends

This anime is real fun. A high school boy called Kodaka, who has a troubled past with both friends and bullies, meets Sena and Yozora . They form a club for people like themselves, and they make more friends along the way. But, Kodaka seems to be extremely bad at making friends, and Yozora is too obnoxious.

I like this anime. The characters are all extremely interesting. They bounce off each other very well Yozora is too serious, Sena is too dramatic, Rika is cute and Tsuntsun, Yukimura , is playful and responsible. The relationship between the main characters is also interesting.
