After putting a list that will make the readers question its authenticity, I think I need to justify the the logic behind the ratings of the series. Calculating the ratings in google trends is pretty simple.

In case you dont know, Google Trends shows the popularity of a search term in a region for given time period with its criters Interest over time.

Interest over time: Numbers represent search interest relative to the highest point on the chart for the given region and time. A value of 100 is the peak popularity for the term. A value of 50 means that the term is half as popular. A score of 0 means there was not enough data for this term.

I will show an illustration with following two shows Attack on Titan and Jojo Bizarre Adventure.

As you can see the google trend is way more for Jojo which is touching 70s constantly than Attack on Titan which is 25 to 50 range in 2020.

My Next Life As A Villainess Took A Fresh Approach To Well

Based on Satoru Yamaguchi’s light novel series of the same name, My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! is the tale of Catarina Claes, a rich and beautiful noblewoman. At least, that’s who Catarina thinks she is … until she gets hit on the head with a rock one day and regains memories of her true life that of a 17-year-old otaku. Turns out Catarina died and was reborn into the world of Fortune Lover, her favorite game. The trouble is, she’s been reincarnated as the villain of the story, not the heroine.

There have been plenty of “isekai” in recent years, but what makes this one different than the rest is the type of game it’s based on. While shows like Sword Art Online,Log Horizon, and many others used MMORPG , My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! takes a different approach by thrusting the protagonist into an “otome,” story-based games geared towards women. Luckily for Catarina, she knows Fortune Lover better than anybody. Armed with the knowledge that all routes lead to either death or exile for her character, she takes drastic measures to derail the plot and stay alive. The results are equal parts hilarious and heartwarming.

Children Of The Whales

Children of the Whales plays with the idea of a postapocalyptic world racked by ecological disaster, this time as a global desert instead of an ocean. A pocket of survivors now lives on a giant floating city called the Mud Whale, and a majority of them developed psychokinetic abilities. Its 12 episodes explore what happens when the Mud Whale encounters another island with very different beliefs, and the conflict that follows. Slime Isekai or That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime follows Satory Mikami, a salaryman who was murdered. He was reincarnated into a different world as a slime where he discovers that he has unique powers for him to build his nation of monsters. The light novel sold more than 4.5 million volumes. The manga, on the other hand, received the 2018 BookWalker Award. The anime adaptation also received a great response with high views rating.

Re: Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu

The first season of Re:Zero was extremely popular, and the second season has a lot of hype around it too. The series overall follows Subaru Natsuki’s adventures in a world of fantasy after he was mysteriously brought there after a normal visit to the convenience store. He meets a unique cast, including a half-elf girl named Emilia, who he travels with in the series.

Subaru finds that he is stuck in a loop where he wakes up on the same day each time that he dies in this world. He uses this to his advantage to take on enemies in the world, but season 2 follows what happens after the world has changed more than it ever has from one of his death loops.

Considering Jujutsu Kaisen is a new series, Satoru Gojou is already impressively high on the list. The simple premise of the show is that Natsume seeks out these spirits in order to restore their names to them and unbind them. It’s a show that manages to be melancholy and heartwarming from episode to episode and even moment to moment. It’s a slice-of-life series with a touch of the supernatural, but what makes it great is how it uses those supernatural encounters to tell human stories. Getting to watch Natsume grow across many seasons keeps the formula from feeling rote.

Any good sports anime will leave you wired with tension, glued to each play and each moment of team bonding. Long-distance track racing however, is not necessarily a sport that makes people dizzy with adrenaline, and so Production I.G., a studio that really knows their sports , takes things down a notch.

Meet Kakeru, a former ace runner who lost his friends and his club due to an altercation in high school. Now a university student, he gets invited to a downtrodden dormitory. It turns out that the dorm houses the involuntary members of a running club, all roped in by Haiji Kiyose, who wants them to participate in the Hakone Ekiden, the most prestigious university relay race in all of Japan.

Its a ridiculous plan, but the series takes you all the way from a group of young men refusing to even entertain the idea to reluctant training and finally, the race. Each of them faces different personal issues, and if theres one reason you likely wont expect from a sports anime, its sobbing like a baby when one of them has a breakthrough. The emotional depth of Run with the Wind is just that great, and its nice to see an anime like this focus on the issues of young men, rather than high school students.

Mobile Suit Gundam Uc

Think high investment, high reward if you get lost amid Mobile Suit Gundam UCs jargon and sprawling backstory. The space-opera franchise is 40 years old and running, so this one isnt easy for newcomers, but it pays off. The setup echoes previous entries: Teenage boy pilots a robot and encounters friends, enemies, and Jedi-like extrasensory powers in armed conflicts between Earth and its space colonies. Politics and power plays drive the show, but UC balances them with intimate scenes like this one, fluidly animated space battles, and even LSD-trip dream sequences. The main character, Shinra, has a lot to deal with in the first season alone when he is starting out in the Fire Force. The second season has its own set of problems, from different forces trying to cause another disaster to Shinra hoping to find a cure that will make the Infernals human again.
