The type of look shown in this example is common to the main villains of fantasy and sci-fi shows and manga. They are usually intelligent and strong and thus also usually calm and confident.
These guys often tend to have long hair.
For the villains normal look draw the inner ends of the eyebrows slightly lowered . Make the irises of the eyes slightly smaller than those of the protagonist character with the pupils even smaller in relation to them.
Draw the mouth and the hint of the bottom lip in light upside down curves.

Why Learn To Draw Anime
A lot of us grew up watching shounen anime. You know, those wild and sometimes violent shows with crazy fight scenes, unique stories, crazy competitive sports and a kid in a funny outfit and spiky hair. Admit it, we love them. The West grew up with ’80s action-adventure cartoons, and the arrival of shounen anime offered a unique twist. The anime boys of the ’90s appealed to a broad audiencefrom kids to young adults. They vary from nice guys with earth-shaking furies to hotblooded competitors , from hyperactive ninja to space cowboys . Even today, shounen anime never lose their spark, and they will continue to charm future anime geeks for years to come.
And yes, they are fun to draw.
Shoujo characters might be the first anime figures I learned to draw, but once I got the hang of it, I upgraded to doing shounens. They seem to reflect a hotblooded side of me, and I have fun sketching them with oversized weapons . With that said, lets do shounen characters this time. I will draw my character based on my preferences .
The sausages and eggs method.

Drawing An Intellectual Male Anime Character
The intellectual character type in anime and manga does not necessarily mean a shy or weak male character. On the contrary quite often these characters can be both physically though and intelligent. Often these tend to be the school council president or some type of leader.
For the intellectuals normal look draw the eyebrows in their natural state with the eyes slightly narrower than the default character example at the start of the tutorial. Make the irises slightly smaller as well. Smaller/narrower eyes will both make the character look more serious and hint that they may have impaired vision.
Draw the mouth in a light upside down curve to again make the character look more serious.

A scheming/plotting type expression is another one a negative anime/manga character is likely to have. This is a face they can make when anticipating the success of their plans.

Draw the mouth with a smile and again add a hint of the split between the top and bottom rows of teeth. These will make the smile look less friendly and more like a grin.

Today, these films, television series, and comic books are popular all over the world.
Anime characters often feature common physical appearances and character traits. One example is the “idiot hair,” a “noticeable strand of hair which sticks in a different direction from the rest,” like Goku‘s hair.
Similar to the archetypes of Western literature, common anime personalities include the “beautiful boy ” the dandere silent love interest the goudere, “who relentlessly pursues their own vision of their love interest’s desires, which they typically misunderstand in some comically over-the-top fashion ” and the “eight-grader syndrome” with delusions of grandeur.

For the wealthy guys normal face draw the eyebrows slightly lower down. Draw the eyes with the inner ends of the top eyelids slightly lowered and draw the irises a little bit smaller than normal.

The delinquent character tends to be a bully or a thug. Usually these are negative characters that give other characters in the anime or manga a hard time.
Spiky and messy hair along with a goatee can be a good fit for the delinquent.
For a tutorial on drawing anime facial hair see:
For the delinquents normal look draw the eyebrows in their natural position. Draw the eyes with the bottom eyelids curving much further down then normal and draw the pupils much smaller then normal. There should be a good amount of space between the irises and the bottom eyelids. You can also give a hint of bags under the eyes with a pair of small curved lines.
Finally draw the mouth in a fairly sharp upside down curve and draw the bottom lip in a similar manner.

Then I’ll show you how to turn this “skeleton” into a 3D structure and how to add muscles to it.
You’ll learn everything you need to know to draw an anime character from scratchthe gesture, proportions, forms, and anatomy. It’s all explained on a beginner level!
Add The Facial Features
Draw two circles on the center guideline but leave a small opening at the bottom of each these will be your eyes. When youre drawing anime, the eyes are one of the most important features and are usually much bigger than the other facial features. Sketch in an arch over the top of each circle and a curved line around the far side of each to frame the eyes.
From here you can also add in a small V shape on the center guideline for the nose, a slightly curved line for a smiling mouth, and a couple of short and light pencil strokes underneath the eyes for a blushing effect.
Adding the facial features starts to bring your character to life.
