How To Draw Short Anime Hair
This type of anime hair is similar to the long. Short hair anime girls are considered to be the queens and all the anime fans are head over heels for them. Therefore, lets do an actual breakdown of how to draw anime hair step by step.
Step 1:
Once again, you have to start with the hairline and head. Its not as important to draw as compared to the long. However, its still better to follow the procedure as it can assist you in drawing some fire hair.
Step 2:
Most steps will be repetitive. However, you will have to draw the same front hair with some small clumps as it is short. But this look will be a little towards the messier side. If you still want to draw the same type of hair, you can follow the same principles as before.
Step 3:
This section of the drawing should be left as the last part. Why do you ask? This is because you wont have to spend minutes erasing the hair and fine-tuning it later on.
The last step is to add the inner curved hair. Moreover, you can add the basic shading and colors as well.

This part should be a piece of cake, right? You have a million ideas floating around in your head all you have to do is pick one.
Easier said than done, I know. But for this tutorial, lets start with a simple human .
Once you have something in mind, start putting down some very rough doodles of how you want things to look. This is where you figure out the characters features, expression, overall style, etc. Dont focus on quality line work or anything here you just need something as a base for your actual sketch. Its a great idea to use something as a reference when figuring out how you want your characters features to look. Find some images online of manga characters you like, or even use photos of real people. Whatever works best for you.

As always, you have to draw the base and hairline first. The hairline is not as important in long hair as it is going to be covered in hair . However, the hairline can still give you a base to work on.

Learn From The Masters
Like I mentioned above, don´t compare your skill to masters of their art but that doesn´t mean, that you can´t learn from them. It is very important, that you look at art, that you like and that inspires you.
So if you encounter a problem, for example, you just can´t get the skin color right or the eyes, that you draw look weird. well, then you can either try again and again until it looks good or you can look at how other artists have solved these issues.
So learn from the Masters but don´t copy the masters!
How To Draw An Anime Head
To draw the anime head, start by drawing a vertical line to ensure both sides of the head are equal. Now draw the top region of the head so that it forms a shape of a semicircle. From that draw two lines that point in a downward direction towards one another. Draw one more set of lines using those lines that meet at a point to form the chin.

When I first started to draw anime art, I used a series of pencils, mostly HB or 2B, to create the line art.

How Hard Is It To Draw Anime
At first, anime may seem like an easy drawing style, but it is not as easy as it looks anime drawing is rather hard. Anime is hard to draw because it requires the artist to have proper knowledge about anatomy, perspective, value, and many other drawing fundamentals, which arent easy to master.
However, just as with any drawing style you want to learn, constant practice and dedication are more than enough to achieve an excellent anime drawing level.

How To Draw Manga Anime Girl
Step 1: Draw a portrait in your mind of what you will draw. Here we are drawing a girl anime, for this, we need to draw the head, pelvic portion, broad shoulder with some static pose.
Step 2: Firstly start drawing with basics, mark a horizontal line below the lower border of eyes. Same time draw a vertical line to divide the head into equal parts.
Secondly, jin the pelvis and chest with a smooth line so you can erase it easily. Refer image we have given below for reference. Draw cylindrical neck connecting head and body.
Step 3:Without limbs our character is incomplete. Thus, outline the arms and long legs. Draw cylindrical shape narrowing down and angular shape for feet and hand.
Step 4: Start drawing other details for the anime girl. Outline large anime eyes, few bangs for hairstyle. Do not avoid the outlines drawn in step 2.
Step 5: In this step draw clothes for the girl. You can draw it with your choice, what you want her to wear. You can refer to our imagination also. For this, outline a small dress with long sleeves, collared top with a bow. Draw calf for sleeves and socks for legs.
Step 6:Up to this step outlines are drawn now you can finish it. Draw every detail with concentration from heat to bottom. Facial expression will give it different look.
Step 9: Up to this step, your anime girl drawing is ready. You can contour it with shading on the neck and on the thighs. You can use the hatching technique of drawing for shading.

Drawing Anime Girl Hair Step
Although I do not clearly draw the line of the head like in this example every time, I do identify it in my mind when I draw. So here, in these examples, I identified the line in purple for you.
In this front view, the eye line will always be around the center of the vertical line between the chin and the to top the head. So if you measure, the space between the chin and the eyes, is roughly the same as between the eyes and the top of the head.
Here is the under-drawing sketch for this example. I used procreate and an iPad pro to draw the face on a separate layer. The face is used in all examples here since hair is the focus. For the hair, you can see that I am more focused on the overall shape of the hair and less worried about what the lines look like at this stage.
These lines are just a guide for the final line art in the next step.
In this step I drew over the underdrawing with more precision. It could use more refinement and some shading still but much of the indecisiveness of the sketchy lines of the underdrawing is now left in the past.

Just because anime and manga have simplified color and bold linework doesnt mean you cant change the style. Plenty of anime styles use more realistic designs.
This tutorial shows you how to start a loose sketch and move into adding swathes of color, all the while blending and keeping color harmony.
When trying to paint realistic versions of anime characters its best to use a picture as a reference. Maybe even grab a sleek anime art book of your favorite series and use that concept art as a reference.
