Comparison To Season 1
I know a lot of people really didnt like the first season of How Not to Summon a Demon Lord. However, I enjoyed watching it a lot. It doesnt take itself seriously and I generally found it to be fun to watch even if it was stupid at times.
With the second season, I was really hoping that it would be just as good as I remembered it. Unfortunately, it wasnt. Dont get me wrong, I still like How Not to Summon a Demon Lord . But I also think its a fairly substantial downgrade from the first season.
Theres nothing I feel is bad about this season. However, some of the jokes and gags featured in it have lost their novelty as theyre the same ones found in the first season. And a comedy series with old jokes isnt going to be as good as one with fresh jokes.
Im also not really sure how I feel about this season having such a prominent plot and story direction. It helped to differentiate this season from the previous season, for sure. But it also felt like it was restricting what the series could do to an extent.
For example, think about how KonoSuba would be different if the story focused heavily on the plot of defeating all the demon kings generals to save the world. That would limit a lot of the gags and character moments that give KonoSuba its charm.
How Not To Summon A Demon Lord Season 3 Release Date Predictions
As of the last update, Kodansha, Avex Pictures, Crunchyroll, or any company related to the production of the anime has not officially confirmed the Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu Season 3 release date. Nor has the production of an Isekai Maou Season 3 sequel been;announced.

The first season was produced by Studio Ajia-Do while the second season, Omega, was animated by Japanese animation studio Tezuka Productions. In this case, Diablo ends up rescuing Lumachina Weselia, high priest of the Church of Celestials, by sheer accident. Lumachina was being assaulted by a monster in the woods and was praying to Kami-sama to rescue her.
Diablo happened to be testing flight magic, and when the spell ran out, he coincidentally came crashing down on top of the monster. This answer to prayer causes Lumachina to believe Diablo must be Kami-sama in the flesh.
It turns out Lumachina was being targeted for assassination by a Church Paladin named Gewalt, a depraved Okama who is jealous of beautiful women like the blonde Lumachina.
The Paladin is a summoner who relies on beasts to do his dirty work, and he uses a beast mushroom to rip off Lumachinas clothing, taunting her by calling her a w***e.
Gewalt is mortally wounded, but Lumachina saves him regardless of his heinous actions against her. In response, he gives up being a Paladin and will end up joining another organization later in the story. Gewalt will be making regular appearances during the second season.
Diablo and his friends decide to accompany Lumachina to Zircon Tower City, a rough and hardy desert town that does not have a magical barrier against demons.

Predicted Season 3 Release Date
As How Not to Summon a Demon Lord has not been officially renewed for a third season, a release date has not been revealed. However, we can make some predictions based on the production schedule of seasons 1 and 2.
