Add The Small Details

After you finish drawing the outlines of the hair and placing all of the facial features you can then draw all of the small details.

In this case those will be:

  • Inner details of the eyes
  • Hair folds

While the eyes in that example are slightly different all of the drawing steps can be applied to the example in this tutorial.

You can see a basic step by step drawing of the details of the eyes above. Also please note that the irises are shaded grey just to make the highlights in the final drawing a bit easier to see. If you are going to be coloring the eyes you may wish to make them a different color.

When done with the eyes you can add a few extra hair folds as shown in the first example.

Finally you can also add a little beauty mark/mole just slightly below one of the eyes . This will again help emphasize that the girl is beautiful as some famous models have these.

You can see a slightly larger version of the face above to make it a little bit easier to see.

Drawing An Anime Head And Face

My First House by AnimeBigBoy on DeviantArt
  • 1Draw an oval and divide it into 4 sections. This will be the basic outline of your anime characters head. The proportions dont have to be exact, but make the oval narrower at the bottom since that will be the chin. Once youve drawn the oval, draw a horizontal line through the center of it. Then, draw a vertical line through the center of it that intersects with the horizontal line. Later, you’ll use these lines as guides to draw the facial features.XResearch source
  • If you want your character to have a wider face, widen the bottom of the oval so its just slightly narrower than the top. Or, if you want your character to have a slender face, make the bottom of the oval even narrower than the top. There’s no single head shape used for all anime characters, so you can experiment until you find one you like.
  • 3Sketch the eyebrows above the horizontal line. Draw a long, downward curving line for each eyebrow. Make them slightly longer than the upper lash line you drew for the eyes. Then, thicken the ends of the brows that are at the center of the face.XResearch source
  • If youre drawing a feminine anime character, make the eyebrows fairly thin. For a masculine character, thicken the eyebrows so theyre more prominent on the face.
  • Make the nose the smallest feature on your characters face.
  • The nose will overlap with the vertical line you drew. To see it better, make it darker than the vertical line, or erase the vertical line around the nose.

Lie On Your Stomach And Look Up

The “eye line” is not your line of vision, as the eyes are able to move left, right, up and down. Rather, eye line refers to the horizon line, and the two terms are used interchangeably. The eye line is determined by distance between the person’s eyes and the ground.

    One-Point Perspective Principles – Part 2

    Drawing An Anime School Girl

  • 1Make an outline of the anime girl using stick figures and shapes. First, sketch a circle for the head. Add an angled shape on the lower part of the circle for the chin and jaw. Use a short line for the neck. Connect a curved line from the neck down to where the pelvis would be located. Draw a four-pointed shape for the thorax and attach more lines for the limbs. Use a triangle as guide for the hands.
  • 2Use the stick figure as guide. Draw the girl’s body and add shape to the drawing. Take note of the proportions and where joints are located. Add a crossed line to the face and thorax to help you determine accurate positioning of body parts later.
  • 3Sketch the eyes. Position it, or, more conventionally them, with the help of the crossed line as an outline. Add small curved strokes for the eyebrows. Sketch an angle for the nose and a small curved line for the lips.
  • 4Design a hairstyle for your anime character. Here in this illustration, it is a simple style that can be achieved by sketching slanted and curved strokes. You can also add a bow or a pin or any accessory on the hair for design.
  • 5Choose a design for the characterâs outfit. School uniforms are a common choice. A simple blazer and pleated skirt would be nice.
  • 6Refine details and erase unnecessary lines.
  • 7Color your drawing. You might want to make it neutral colors, so they look good, not so they clash. The choice is yours though, team orange and purple if you like. It’s your drawing.

By Step Instructions For Drawing A Haunted House

    1. Begin by drawing a curved line. This forms the hill that the house sits upon.

    2. Use a series of short, curved, connected lines to outline the bottom of the hill, enclosing its shape. The curves give the hill a grassy appearance.

    3. Draw the lower portions of the house. For each, begin with a pair of straight, parallel lines. Extend a short, straight line out from each side, then enclose the triangular roof using another pair of lines.

    4. Draw the main house. Extend parallel lines upward from the smaller portions of the house, and enclose the shape with a straight line. Draw the sides of the roof using curved lines, and enclose the shape using another straight line.

In many parts of the world, the idea of a haunted house is one of many cultural superstitions. Typically, supposed haunted houses have been the locations of deaths, murders, witchcraft, or other spiritualistic rites.

The houses are thought to be inhabited by ghosts or other supernatural creatures, and stories abound of strange happenings in such places.

The idea of a haunted house likely originates from the widespread religious belief that a spirit leaves the body after death. This spirit or ghost is then thought to remain in the house – either due to an affinity to the place or because of some terrible happening.

Such beliefs are especially common in areas in which deceased ancestors are revered and worshiped.

Haunted houses are often portrayed in films and similar media. For example, the 2006 animated film Monster House features a haunted house that is itself a living creature.

2012’s Hotel Transylvania takes place in a hotel owned by a vampire and frequented by Frankenstein, werewolves, mummies, and other beings.

Fun houses called haunted houses are often established in celebration of Halloween. These often involve low lighting, frightening decorations – skeletons, mummies, bats, spiders, zombies, and more – and even live actors who jump out or chase unsuspecting guests.

What is your character doing? Unless youre conveying a big emotional moment, keep your anime characters nose and mouth small and simple. In many instances, you can do both with just a simple line or two. During big moments where your character needs to express an emotion, youll want to exaggerate the mouth.

Shapes And Colors Of Anime Eyes

It is helpful to divide the eye creation process into a few steps.

Lets go back and break it down once more and add the coloring process. Let me show you some coloring techniques parting from the grayscale drawing that we already have from the previous part:

Remember: On top of the basic grays with their respective gradients, add brightness and textures that match the style of your drawing .

Steps 1 and 2, start by making the eyelids, this will help you to figure out where to place the iris and the rest of the eye.

In step 3, add some basic grey tones and then

In step 4, I set the color layers blending mode. In this case, I used Overlay, but you are free to try a few out and choose another mode that you like better. This way, the color that you add will be perfectly integrated with the gray tones. On the right, you can see where the blending modes for layers are located in my software. The default mode is Normal. From here you can play around and find which mode you are comfortable with.

If youre aiming for colorful, engaging anime eyes, vibrant, saturated colors may be best.

    Draw The Flying Debris

In this case the flying debris themselves will not really be visible. Instead what you will see is their smoke trails. Draw these wider and the base and narrower towards the tips with their curves based on the paths from the previous step. Outline each smoke trail with a series of bumps and curves that get smaller and less noticeable towards their tips. You can also add some breaks in the outlines to make the trails look lighter.

    Expressions For Anime Eyes

In real life and in the manga/anime world, eyes are one of the most important features to express emotion. Remember that a series of facial muscles tighten or relax, depending on the expression you want to achieve.Lets take a look at the eyelids, the inner eye, and the eyebrows.

The emotions intended in these examples are easy to understand.

In example 1, the eyebrow is a bit tense, but the eye is relaxed and shining. This conveys a worried state or maybe missing someone or something.

In example 2, the eyebrow is arched vertically, and the eye is closed, so we can deduce that the character is happy.

In the next example , there is no shine to the eye, the iris is completely white, and the pupil is reduced significantly. This shows that the character is aggressive. Note that the eyebrow is arched in the opposite direction of the happy one in example 2, which also signifies anger.

Let us check all these expressions to deduce their meaning: 4 is suspicion, 5 is worry, 6 is neutral or observing, 7 is shock, 8 is sadness, and 9 is shock or madness, depending on the situation.

    Finish The Line Drawing

To make the house look a little more lively you can add some bushes in a few area around it. To do this simply erase that part of the house and draw the bushes with sort of cloud like shapes.

Once you confirm that everything seems to be in the right place go over go over your drawing with either darker pencil lines, black pen or marker.

    Sketching An Anime Body

How to draw Anime house || sketch of a house || Kiki’s delivery service point || step by step.
  • 1Draw a stick-figure outline of your characters body. Use straight lines for the arms, torso, and legs. Make the arms and torso similar in length, and make the legs about 1/3 longer. Then, draw triangles or ovals for the hands and feet. Make the hands about 1/5 the length of the arm, and make the feet about 1/6 the length of the legs.XResearch source
  • To get the proportions right, make your stick-figure outline about 7 times as tall as your characters head.
  • Have the arm lines start about 1/5 of the way down the line you draw for the torso.
  • Have the stick-figure outline of your character capture whatever pose you want them to be in. For example, if you want your character to be sitting, draw their legs so they’re bent. Or, if you want your character to be waving, draw one of their arms so it’s bent.
  • 2Outline the general shapes of your characters body. Drawing over the stick-figure outline you made, sketch a rough outline of your characters torso, arms, hips, and legs. Dont worry about making the outline precise yet. At this point, you just want to represent the different parts of the body with basic shapes.
  • Draw ovals for the upper and lower arms and legs, and then draw a circle at each joint for the knees and elbows. Proportionally, make your characters upper and lower arms the same length and size. Make their upper legs thicker than their lower legs.
  • To outline the hips, draw an oval over the point where the torso and upper legs meet.
