  Check out Black Lagoon. It’s kinda a crime thriller but it’s mostly an action show. But it likes to play with different ideas like human morality and what that means when you’re in a world where might makes right.

I don’t have a problem with isekai per se. My issue is with shows that just play reiterations of other shows without introducing something new or having a particular element.

I absolutely loathe Re:Zero and Kabaneri because of this, they are just mash ups of other shows, checking as much boxes as they can for maximum pandering factor.

I liked Log Horizon tho, mainly since it takes a good dive into MMORPG mechanics, and in general the characters have good banter, and there are decent campaigns, you know the kind of shit expected from a good expansion to your MMORPG of choice.
