History Of National Anime Day
Anime conventions have a long history that spreads worldwide. One of the first original conventions for anime was Comiket, which started in 1975 with around 700 people in Tokyo. Anime has been around a lot longer than that, with one of the first considered animes to have existed since the early 1900s. However, it wasnt until the late 70s and early 80s that anime started becoming a popular show and it started to develop its own unique style. Today theres a widespread culture of people who love anime and manga and multiple conventions around the world, with some of the most popular places to have conventions being in Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
National Anime Day is all about celebrating the history of anime and bringing people together to enjoy their favorite anime shows and characters. The holiday has its own convention, held in multiple conventions all over the United States in cities such as Orlando, Nashville, Atlanta, and Carolina. Friends and families that love anime join these conventions held each year and see comic book sellers, voice actors, and dress up in their favorite characters outfits. The highly anticipated second season of the acclaimed Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba series took an unconventional approach this year. Instead of airing a full season of new footage, Ufotable split the season into two parts: the Mugen Train arc, which re-edits the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train movie into a seven-episode storyline with additional content, and the Entertainment District arc, a brand-new arc that takes places immediately following the events of Mugen Train. The Mugen Train movie itself was impressive, so its no surprise to see how well it plays out across the episodic television arc. While it may be a tad soon to endorse the Entertainment District arc, season two of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba so far has established itself as a worthy follow-up to the 2019 smash-hit. TE
