No life is without its adventures though, and Red sets off for the Wall at the End of the World. Red has vowed to love Rit for life so hes journeying in search of the perfect gem to mark their betrothal.
Along the way, Red encounters scenic views, soaks in blissful hot springs, and even reunites with an old friend, the high elf Yarandralawhos head over heels in love with him?!
Yes, as Episode 5 hinted, Yarandrala really likes Red. She used to be a member of the Heroes Party until Ares banished Red. She even punched Ares before storming out!
After learning of Ares betrayal and death at the hands of Red, Yarandrala has reunited with her friends. But dont worry, this isnt an isekai harem story and Red only has eyes for Rit.
Reds joy of being reunited with Yarandrala is short-lived when Zoltan is invaded by the strongest assassins. However, what the attackers dont know is that the worlds best heroes are all gathered there.
Jumping into action, Red and Ruti display their power as heroes while Tisse confronts a legendary assassin and Rit uses her blessing to gain wolf-like perception. With the remote land of Zoltan in turmoil, can the heroes bring peace back to the land?

Banished from the Heros Party season 1 is licensed for streaming outside Asia by Funimation. People with a subscription to the platform can head here to watch the anime. In Scandinavian countries, the series is accessible for streaming on Wakanim. Fans can reportedly also watch the show on Animelab in the near future.
Banished From The Heros Party Manga/light Novel Series Compared To The Anime
The story for the anime is based on the Shin no Nakama ja Nai to Yuusha no Party wo Oidasareta node, Henkyou de Slow Life suru Koto ni light novel series by writer Zappon and illustrator Yasumo. The long title can also be translated into English as I Was Kicked out of the Heros Party Because I Wasnt a True Companion so I Decided to Have a Slow Life at the Frontier.
The writer first began self-publishing the story for Banished from the Heros Party in October 2017 as a web novel on the Shsetsuka ni Nar website. The web novel remains unfinished and seems to have been abandoned by the author.
The web novel became popular so quickly that Japanese publisher Kadokawa began adapting it into a light novel series by June 2018. As of October 1, 2021, the light novel series was up to Volume 9 in paperback format.
It should be noted that the light novel series technically had 10 volumes out when the anime premiered. However, the eighth volume was labeled as Volume 0 since the story focused on Reds backstory.
The Banished from the Heros Party manga adaptation by artist Masahiro Ikeno is being serialized in Monthly Shonen Ace. Serialized since June 2018, the manga was up to Volume 6 as of June 25, 2021.
In an interview with Anime News Network, the original creator explained how he structures his book stories.

Red was once a member of the Hero’s party, a powerful group destined to save the world from the evil forces of Taraxon, the Raging Demon Lord. That is, until one of his comrades kicked him out. What Is The Plot Of ‘banished From The Hero’s Party Season 2
D-Rank adventurer Red lives a regular and peaceful life, far away from the clutches of demons and war, near the borderland of Zoltan. He started his apothecary through perseverance and hard work. Red gets a live-in partner and assistant named Rit, the princess of Duchy Loggervia. Rit is also an adventurer herself, and she gives everything up to join his quest.
Red has a secret that only Rit knows. His real name is Gideon, and he is the brother of Ruti Ragnason, the “Hero” and a former member of Rit’s party.
Ares Drowa, the “Sage, banished Red from their party after the war against the Demon Lord, thinking that he was weak and insignificant.
Red and Rit are now starting a new life together after he left the Hero’s party. However, his past will soon come haunting him again.
We don’t know what the plot of season 2 is yet. We will come back to this article once more information comes and update this accordingly.

Banished from the Heros Party episode 2 is all set to release on . It will air at various times on AT-X, Tokyo MX, BS NTV, KBS Kyoto, and SUN in Japan. Wolfsbane and Studio Flad collaborated to develop the series, with Megumi Shimizu leading the writing staff and Makoto Hoshino helming the directorial team.
Yukari Hashimoto has handled the series music composition while Ruriko Watanabe has designed the characters. Yui Nishio sang the opening theme song Iki o S Koko de S Ikiteku, and JYOCHO performed the ending theme All the Same.

Banished From The Heros Party Meanders But Maybe Thats What You Are Looking For
The title of Banished From The Heros Party, I Decided To Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside pretty much tells you the set-up for this story. Red, who used to be Gideon, left the heros party after the Sage told him he was holding them back because he wasnt strong enough to support them anymore. Agreeing, in his own way, Red decided what he wanted to do with his life post adventuring hero was open his own apothecary shop in a small town kind of away from everything.
Of course he first has to earn funds for that venture and so initially works as a low level adventurer which gives him time to build relationships with many of the people in town and then he builds his shop. Also, a Princess who also acts as an adventurer who knew him before, known as Rit, just happens to come across him, decides to hand up her adventurers hat and moves in with him.
Their day to day lives take up the bulk of most episodes and while there are some really great relationship moments between them their pursuit of the quiet life as they have picnics, visit saunas and generally manage a shop just isnt that interesting and thats kind of why the mid-season ends up feeling pretty empty. Which could work for a slice-of-life but the slices need to be interesting or charming and here the supporting cast in the village are pretty dull and there just isnt much to hold your interest.

Banished from the Hero’s Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside is a Japanese light novel series written by Zappon and illustrated by Yasumo. It began serialization online in October 2017 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shsetsuka ni Nar. It was later acquired by Kadokawa Shoten, who have published ten volumes since June 2018 under their Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint.
A manga adaptation with art by Masahiro Ikeno has been serialized in Kadokawa Shoten’s shnen manga magazine Monthly Shnen Ace since May 2018. It has been collected in nine tankbon volumes as of July 2022. Both the light novel and manga are licensed in North America by Yen Press. In Reds mind, everything would be simple because he was Hero in a past life. He was taken aback when Rit, a stunning woman from his past existence who wishes to move in with him, appeared. Rit is a low-level adventurer from the town of Zoltan. Gideons friend Rit has been around for a long time. The adventures guild told Red about Red, and now she believes that Red is really Gideon. In order to see Red, she embarked on a journey and discovered that he had started a new drugstore.
Instead of leaving, Rit opted to stay and help Red expand the pharmacys clientele. Long blond hair and blue eyes define Rit, a beautiful woman in her early 20s. Wearing a short white and red dress with long stockings is one of her favorite looks. She is the younger sister of Gideon and carries the Heros divine benediction, humanitys most valuable gift. Ruti had been in love with Gideon since she was a child, but that relationship ended when he left the party. She has a fantasy in which she kills the Demon Lord. Banished From The Heros Party Volume 1 Now Being Published In English
I have to admit I was happy when I saw Yen Press is now publishing the English version of the Banished from the Heros Party manga series.
After all, I did binge-watch the anime series based on the light novel series written by Zappon and illustrated by Yasumo, and loved it. But, not being a light novel fan, I wasnt likely to do anything more than that.
With the English version of the manga now easily available though, hey, I can get my Red and Rit fix a little longer. Yay!
The manga is available via Yen Press in both trade paperback and digital file and, with Banished from the Heros Party manga volume 1 already published, and with volume 2 coming out on June 22nd, we have a fair bit of reading ahead of us.
Especially as there are already eight volumes out in Japanese.
