There are different ways of drawing anime heads, so were just going to touch on the basics. One of the things that will determine the shape of your characters head is their age.
So you should decide whether you want a young or older character. Older characters tend to have longer faces compared to younger ones. If youre drawing a young anime character, draw a circle using your hands or a compass depending on your preferences.

Helpful But Could Be Better
First of all, I would like to acknowledge that this app was very helpful to me because it taught me how to draw anime people . I was also surprised and happy to see that no ads showed up, especially since this app is free. This made it easier and faster to see more videos. It was also cool that they allowed you to practice your drawings on the app. A few things I disliked was that there were only a few sections to look at. I was kind of hoping that the makers of this app would put in an animals section since I really love animals. Also, the app kept on crashing and brought me back to home screen. I think I would rate this app 3 stars, but I’m not sure if I would recommend it until this bug is fixed. I hope that this review has helped you understand the app a little bit more.
Space The Eyes Horizontally & Draw Their Basic Outlines
When spacing the eyes horizontally you will want to leave about enough room between them that you can fit in another eye.
When actually drawing the eyes make them fairly narrow with relatively thick sets of top eyelashes.
At this stage you can simply outline the basic shape of the eyes without drawing all of the smaller details such as the eyelashes.
The goal is to first correctly place all the facial features.

Anime Head Side View Guideline Construction Process
Lets get straight into it! Please note that this is just how I create guidelines for my drawings. Different artists will have different ways in which they construct their guidelines, some can just Freehand everything!
First, as usual, draw a circle. Next, draw a vertical line down the left or right side of the circle, this is where the head will be facing. Now, decide where you want the bottom of the chin to be for your head. If youre drawing a more mature head, the chin will be longer if youre drawing a younger person, the chin should be shorter. in this example, Im drawing a young female, so the chin is pretty short.
Next, draw a horizontal line in the middle of the head (between the top of the head and the bottom of the chin. This line is where the top of the eye will be
Draw another horizontal line between the top of the eyes and bottom of the chin, this guideline is for the bottom of the nose.
Draw a horizontal line slightly into the face from the vertical line, this line should cut across the bottom line for the chin and the eyes. Add a slight inward curve around where the eye is. The intersection between the guideline for the bottom of the chin and the vertical line will be where the tip of the chin touches.
Where the top of the eyes is, draw a slight dip inwards the head.
From the bottom of the mouth to the chin, theres a slight inward curve.
Now you have a basic shape for the head! Time to start refining and adding in details.

How To Draw Anime Hands
Drawing anime hands can be quite challenging, but were going to try to simplify the process.
Start with a rough shape of the palm and base of the thumb. Then, draw the outer shapes of the fingers and the thumb. The thumb should be 45 degrees from the hand and slightly below the middle fingers knuckle bone. Afterward, clean up the drawing and add lines among other details.

How To Draw A Girl Anime
There are subtle differences between male and female anime characters.
If you choose to draw a girl anime, you should give your character an hourglass shape when drawing the body. You should make the face rounder, and the jaw shouldnt be too long. Remember to draw a narrow neck and give your character a female build.
Is It Hard To Do Anime
But is Anime easy to draw? The short answer is: No, it isn´t easy to draw! You will have to know basic anatomy, you need to be able to render properly and understand perspective as well as how light and shadow work. Anime is an abstraction of reality and as such sometimes even harder to draw than a realistic picture.

Time It Takes To Draw A Full Body Anime Character
Both drawings above took me around 12-14 hours to complete. There are many reasons why drawings like these take longer to complete, but I think the main one is the artists expertise. As a beginner/intermediate artist, finishing detailed drawings in 12-14 hours is usual. For an expert anime artist, it can take less.

Start With A Faint Rough Line
As with many of the drawings we are doing, every art starts with rough lines. When drawing faces, we will first sketch a round shape. Again, since this is a rough line, what we will see here is a faint circle. In this way, it is easier to clean when we are done. You will see below this rough round shape I made, which is next to nothing as its so faint.
