The Plot & Origin Of One
The world of;One-Punch Man is one full of superheroes, supervillains and monstrous kaiju. One such hero is Saitama, who has yet to officially join the Hero Association despite his immense strength. Said strength allows him to defeat pretty much any opponent he faces with one punch, as he’s honed power to the utmost level to the point of being bored with it.
During his lackadaisical adventures, he befriends the cyborg Genos, who seeks vengeance against the person that killed his family. They both join the Hero Association, with Saitama ironically receiving a low rank in the bureaucratic organization due to his lack of attention to detail. Saitama, Genos and several other heroes become vital, however, against an alien invasion and the machinations of the Monster Association, who intend to rule the world in some way or another.
The original webcomic was remade into a manga, which received an anime adaptation that ran for two 12 episode seasons. Both seasons also received several OVA specials, and another one;titled;Road to Hero. Despite the franchise’s continued popularity and the manga and webcomic both still being published, there’s yet to be a third season made.

Mumen Rider’s Character Is Has More Development
Most people who’ve read the manga consider Mumen Rider to be nothing more than a joke character, with maybe a few moments where he gets to shine. However, the anime adds some great scenes that help in the development of this character.
The tender moment he shares with Saitama in the ramen house is one such scene that isn’t present in the manga. There’s also another great moment where Mumen Rider tries his hardest to console Saitama, even when he himself is scared out of his wits. It’s a great way to show how dedicated Mumen Rider is towards saving lives and fighting villains, regardless of his own wellbeing.
Manga Does Better: More Saitama’s Backstory
In nearly every volume of the manga, there is a bonus chapter. A good chunk of them are side stories involving our heroes, but a precious few give us a deeper look into Saitama’s backstory and what helped motivate him to become a hero.
In the first volume of the manga, a young Saitama goes after some bullies and then a pig monster after he is beaten up and robbed of 200 Yen. He’s beaten up pretty badly and never recovers his money. In later volumes, we get to see him doing this “training regimen” and his initial heroic deeds and fights before he loses his hair.

Manga Does Better: The Bonus Stories
As mentioned previously, nearly every volume of the manga contains tiny stories about the everyday goings-on of heroes. The anime also does a series of OVAs after every season . But between the two methods of bonus stories, the manga is far superior.
Something that’s commonly lost in;One-Punch Man;is the kind of hero Saitama is. Sure, he can;decimate;monsters the size mountains in one punch, but these stories expand who Saitama is. He’s a kind, unselfish hero who is;a hero;not just because of his strength, but because he’s a genuinely great person.
Manga Does Better: References And Easter Eggs
One of the most enjoyable aspects of the first two seasons of Mob Psycho 100 involved catching all the One-Punch Man easter eggs and references hidden within the anime. And even though the Mob Psycho 100 webcomic existed for;three years before the One-Punch Man anime premiered, there has yet to be a;Mob Psycho 100;easter egg in the series. This, however, does not ring true for the manga.
While they aren’t exactly hidden, the One-Punch Man manga throws some love towards ONE’s other creation on at least two occasions. Up above, you’ll see a young Saitama lying;in;bed wearing a “Mobu Psycho 1000000” sweatshirt. That happens in a bonus chapter;in the very first volume of the manga.;Later on, in the 12th manga edition, 65th chapter, Mob, Tome, and Dimple can be seen in the background promoting the airing of their show.

Is Madara Narutos One
Nevertheless, Madara Naruto isnt Narutos One-Punch Man for one easy motive. Saitama is the One-Punch Man as a result of that is his solely main assault. All of his different skills are merely extensions of his tremendous energy, and all of them exist to assist him land that single punch.;Whereas each males solely need a single attack to win, Saitama solely is aware of one assault. Madara, alternatively, is aware of tons of of various assaults, and these assaults enable him to finish the struggle in many alternative methods, making him an infinitely extra versatile fighter than Saitama. Calling Madara a One-Punch Man undersells his terrifying energy.
The Animation Is In A Class Of Its Own
If there’s one thing that is universally appreciated in One-Punch Man, it’s the quality of the animation. Madhouse was in charge of the first season, and the amazing quality of the animation shows that this studio definitely deserves all its plaudits.
It’s because of this reason that so many people were upset about the studio changes for Season 2, but J.C. Staff still did a brilliant job on their end for the animation as well. That being said, their work is still far from reaching the quality of the first season, and one can only wait and see how the third season will develop from an animation standpoint.

Anime Does Better: The Power Of Saitama
The anime undoubtedly one-upped the manga in this regard and;one scene makes this abundantly clearSaitama’s sparring match versus Genos. In the fight against Genos, Saitama satisfies Genos’ wish to take the fight seriously and show him his true power.
The anime reveals what the wind impact from Saitama’s punch;does to the rock formation behind them, not the punch itself, mind — the wind from the punch. It creates a new path through the mountains and even affects the clouds. The manga ends it here. No gigantic chasm formed or clouds altered. Just dust.

One Punch Man Popularity
Season 2 of One Punch Man did not see that much popularity compared to season 1 but it is quite common in anime series. The opening song of the second season did not receive a particularly good response that did hurt the mainstream popularity the franchise received from the first season. The good part here is that their social media has burst with new followers daily and merchandise is also getting popular day by day.
Will There Be A Season 3 Of One
To be fair, the current lack of any word on a new season of the;One-Punch Man isn’t exactly that strange. After all, there was a four-year gap between the first season, which came out in 2015, and the second, which was released in 2019. Given that we’re only two years removed from 2019, things could still be on track for a 2023 release date for;Season 3.
That’s not to say, however, that this is the schedule fans should go by. There’s been no official announcement from production studio J.C. Staff on whether or not production has started on a third season. Still, it’s more a matter of “when” more than “if” considering that the manga still has loads of material to adapt. With news of a live-action movie being announced last year, there’s certainly more than just one punch left in the franchise, so its animated adaptation will likely be coming back sometime in the next few years.

The Fight Scenes Are Absolutely Spectacular
Most of the fights in One-Punch Man mainly serve as a way to show just how ridiculously overpowered Saitama is compared to the rest of the heroes in Japan. Of course, there are some exceptions to the norm, with characters like Genos also engaging in personal battles of their own.
All these fights are shown with pristine detail in each and every frame of the anime, especially in the first season. Even Saitama’s dominance ends up being awe-inspiring to witness, with both Madhouse and J.C. Staff pulling out all the stops to show just how destructive Saitama’s power really is. A great highlight in this regard is Saitama’s “fight” against Genos, where the Caped Baldy shows just how vast and unstoppable his power reserves really are.
Release Date Of Previous Seasons:
When can be the estimated release date? You might get the answer if I show you the previous release dates:
- One Punch Man as a web comic released- In 2009
- One Punch Man as a Manga released- In 2012
- OPM Season 1 as an anime adaptation aired- In 2015
- OPM Season 2 as an anime adaptation aired- In 2019
To produce an excellent show, the staff needs to take a lot of time for the detailed artwork and dubbing. Some critics think that the current production house J.C. Staff did not do an up-to-mark animation work, which affected Season 2.;
That might be the main reason for their delay. And to watch a perfect adaptation of the manga series, you have to wait a little longer.
In the meantime, you can try watching High School DXD Season 5, which is an action-comedy anime like One Punch Man.
