The anime adaptation of Persona isnt as good as the games but is still very entertaining. You can watch the anime before playing the games and still enjoy the games if you decide to get into them later on.
The only underwhelming aspect of the Persona series is its main character. Since the anime is adapted from a video game, the original main character was the player itself.
Since the player could customize the main character, however, they wanted to, they had no specific quirk in the game.
Also, in the original games, the mc was a silent protagonist and fundamentally had a silent and cool aura.

Confirmed through the slated home video release, the retail listings for the Blu-ray and DVD releases of Persona 5 the Animation will consist of 12 volumes. Although the final number of episodes is not confirmed, the first volume of the home video release will be packed with two episodes.

Persona 5 Anime Is Getting An English Dub
The Persona 5 anime series is officially getting an English dub, and all of the core voice actors are returning – including Joker, who will actually say full sentences now.
The series will release as a blu-ray set on September 29, 2020. Perhaps the most notable fact about the English dub of the Persona 5 anime is that Xander Mobus will play Joker, who is canonically known by the name Ren.

The events depicted in the anime are based on the Mementos request in the game, titled “Phantom Thieves vs Burglary Ring.” While the corresponding event in the game is not as elaborate as the anime, Kazuya Makigami appears as the heist target of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts. Morgana comments that leaving Kazuya’s gang at large will leave a taint in the Phantom Thieves’ reputation. Shadow Kazuya Makigami indeed takes Mithras’ form and summons Oni and Onmoraki to aid him in battle. The major inconsistency with the anime is that Café Leblanc is never used as a bait to confirm their crime because the Phantom Thieves do not want to cause any trouble to Sojiro Sakura, and conclude that the café is too shabby to be the bait.

Aniplex of America has acquired the rights to the Persona 5 anime, meaning the adaptation of last year’s hit RPG will soon be streaming in the US. The production company has launched an English-language website for Persona 5: The Animation with details, and it also released a trailer for the series with English subtitles.
Persona 5: The Animation seems to follow the plot of the game and begins with the protagonist–named Ren Amamiya–transferring to Shujin Academy. Soon after, his persona awakens, and the Phantom Thieves are formed. You can watch the subtitled trailer below, as well as check out key art of Morgana, Ann, and Ryuji.
The Japanese voice cast from the game are reprising their roles for the anime, and Shoji Meguro is returning to compose the music.
