Yuu Nagira’s Boys Love Novel Utsukushii Kare Gets Live
Japanese publisher Tokuma Shoten announced today that a live-action TV drama adaptation of Yuu Nagira’s popular boys love novel series Utsukushii Kare will start airing in Japan in the winter of 2021. Further details such as broadcast slot and cast will be announced later.
Yuu Nagira lives in Kyoto, Japan, and has been active in the BL genre since her debut novel Koisuru Egoist in 2006. Her Utsukushii Kare series has been published from the publisher’s Chara Bunko imprint since December 2014. So far three volumes have been published and its side-story collection “interlude” is set to be released on September 28, 2021. The novel’s first volume won first place in the BEST Novel category of the BL Awards 2015.
The series follows the protagonist Kazunari Hira, a high school student who doesn’t talk much, has no friends, and belongs to the bottom of his class. The person he falls in love with at first sight is Sou Kiyoi. He is “The King” who doesn’t hang out with anyone, equally ruthless, and reigns at the top of the class. With the hope Sou will notice his presence, Kazunari serves him devotedly, running errands and buying lunch. But his faith in the absolute monarch gradually falls into lust.
His Actual Surname Is Amane
In the light novels, when Mikaela is initiating conversation with Yuu to make him comfortable, he asks him his surname.
Expectedly, Yuu doesnt remember much of his past, which is why he cannot recollect his actual surname. It is later revealed his given surname is Amana, which means heavenly sound.

Nao Tomori and Jojiro Takajo were the one who caught Yuu Otasaka using his ability and makes him transfer to their high school which is Hoshinoumi Academy where all the students are ability weilders or they are going to develop soon in ability weilders Jojiro is a person who helps Yuu at school cafeteria in getting good food at the cost of his life xD Jojiro has bleed many times just to take the limited edition beef tongue curry for Yuu. So Jojiro is kind of a good friend of Yuu which helps him to get food :p

Nao Tomori includes Yuu Otasaka at the student council and gets his help to stop other ability weilders from doing wrong thing. Nao Tomori calls Yuu a cheater as he used to cheat in his exams using his ability. As time passes Yuu gets interested in Nao as she saves him from getting insane back then when Yuu lost his sister. And finally a day comes when he express his feelings to Nao by saying I love you in just a casual manner xD He even says that its okay if you dont love me, but I love you anyway :p

His Demon Form Is Timed By His Friends
Ever since Yuu turned into the King of Salt in Nagoya, his friends have been terrified of him losing his humanity to either the trumpet or Asuramaru himself. This is why they always keep a check of how long hes transformed into his demon form to assess whether or not hes losing control.
At the beach, Mika remarks that Yuu was a demon for 2 minutes more than his previous transformation. Despite Mika showing concern, Yuu shrugs it off as nothing big.
His Actions Force Mika To Drink Other Humans Blood
After his demon transformation, when Yuu becomes completely human, Shinoas squad offers their blood to Mika, which he immediately refuses because he neither likes nor trusts them. Seeing this, Yuu offers his blood to Mika in order to replenish his thirst.
Mika refuses, citing Yuus weakness, and agrees to drink the squads blood because he fears if he goes on without blood for too long, he might end up drinking too much of Yus blood in the future.

The Main Characters And Their Chemistry
Now, this is less of a unique reason in a literal sense. But the chemistry between the main characters feels a lot better than similar shows Ive watched.
Yuu Otosaka starts out as a delinquent. Using his abilities to manipulate, control, and take advantage of everyone around him for personal gain.
Its not until he meets Nao Tomori that he shapes up and becomes a character worthy of your respect.
From there you get to see Yuu and Nao go back and forth, episode to episode, watching their bond grow and develop into something special .
Besides Yuus younger sister whos bound to make you laugh, and other support characters, I feel Yuu and Naos relationship is what makes the anime shine.
When you combine that with the unique, distinctive approach to superpowers, and how different it is to your modern supernatural show, Charlotte is an underrated series with more creativity than most will give it credit for.
And thats in spite of its flaws .
But even still, its an anime worth watching if you want:
- Something short .
- Want to try something different to your typical shounen series.
- And something with a few characters rather than dozens.
- Not to mention some light, yet meaningful romance and the occasional action.
Charlotte can be finished in as little as 4 hours. It only takes 20 minutes or an hour to decide whether its worth watching.
That aside, you should watch Charlotte. Its not just a good anime its even better than that.

Charlotte anime takes place in an alternate reality where a comet named Charlotte passes near Earth once every 75 years. As this happens, the earth gets covered with dust, which gives a small percentage of adolescent children who inhale the dust supernatural abilities.
Charlotte, a thirteen-episode anime television series, is directed by Yoshiyuki Asai. It was released in 2015. The story takes place in an alternate universe where a small percentage of children are manifested with supernatural abilities as soon as they hit puberty. The focus of the anime is on Yuu Otosaka, a high school boy who was blessed with the power of possessing others. This power brought him attention, especially of Nao Tomori, the student council president in the school, which acted as the foundation of children with such abilities which made them unique from other kids.

What Happens At The End Of The Anime
After the evens of the Nagoya arc, Shinoas squad decides to betray the humans and run away with Mika. It is implied they will now live a peaceful life, and the anime ends with Yuu and Mika enjoying their time on a deserted beach.

However, after a three month time skip in the manga, it is shown that Yuu has turned into a demon and his shackled by his friends in order to control him. Asuramaru is shown to have complete control over his body.
Shinoas Squad And Their Sisters
This is an interesting fact that was right there in everybodys face, but no one noticed it. Everybody in Shinoas squad has a sibling, or more specifically, a sister.
Yoichis sister is dead, the whereabouts of Kimizukis sister are unknown, while Shinoa and Mitsubas sisters are alive and healthy. Yuu is the only exception he has no sister.

What Is The Story Of Charlotte Anime

Does Yuu Otosaka Remember Everyone At The End Of Episode 13
At the end of episode 13, Yuu is shown to reunite with Takajo, Yusa, Ayumi, and Nao. Does he actually remember them or did he use one of his abilities to regain his memory?

“Plunder” has a side effect. The more people he loots abilities from, the more memories he loses.
After absorbing tens of thousands of different abilities from people around the world he lost all of his memories.
The only thing he knows is how precious the phrasebook was to him during his journey, thus why he could never get rid of it.
The title of the episode itself, Memories to Come, foreshadows the idea that he will now be living for the memories he’s yet to create. At the end of the episode he’s reunited with the student council and his sister but is lost for what he should say because he doesn’t share the same memories as them.
And with that, the foreshadowing from the episode title is underlined with when Takajou prompts him to be honest and Yuu responds with, “I’m looking forward to what’s to come.”

Yuu has a sister complex. He loves his sister way too much cause why not she is literally so cute to be honest. They have been living alone since a while and they have form a great bond. Even though Ayumi always prepare the same dish for lunch every now and then and uses the same sauce in every other dish which makes both lunch and breakfast boring for Yuu. He still somehow manages to get it down his throat even tho he dont like it just because he loves his sister and care way too much about her feelings
A day comes when Ayumi dies because she unknowingly uses her ability that causes destruction around her and she dies in that destruction. This is when Yuu loses his control and starts living in isolation watching TV and eating cup noodles he literally gets mentally sick. A day comes when the stock of cup noodles gets over and he steps out of home to buy some more and then eventually starts using his abilities to beat people around him and spend his days in Cyber Cafe instead of home, until a day comes when Nao stops himand makes him realize the mistakes that he is doing right now in his life.

Is Charlotte Anime Sad
Especially when youre new to the power, it can overwhelm you and you may hurt someone even if you dont want to. As the story moves forward, a terrorist group manages to abduct Nao and Kumagami, one of Shunsukes closest friends and aides. They hold them as hostages in exchange for Yuu, who attempts to rescue them. However, the plan does not go the way it was planned causing Kumagamis death and Yuu being deeply injured.
Yuu takes a lot of time to recover and as soon as he recovers, he resolves to protect everyone by stealing other peoples ability and using it to save people in need. As Nao planned, Yuu travels the world and keeps on stealing other peoples abilities. The more powers he takes from other people, the more it takes a toll on him. The power gets heavy on him and soon he started to lost his memories and sense of self.
However, Yuu being Yuu still manages to steal everyones ability even though the whole world was collapsing. Shunsuke rescues Yuu but he has no memory of his past life. Even though Nao tries her best to make him remember, absorbing this much power made him weak. Even though Yuu was unaware of his past life, he and his friends are looking forward to making new memories from now on as he recovers from his deteriorated health.

Karasuno vs Kakugawa
During the matchs first break, Hinata slightly panics because of Hyakuzawas height but Nishinoya tells him that aerial battles arent the only main component in volleyball. Nishinoya would then join in Daichi explaining his observations that Hyakuzawa was only hitting cross shots in the direction of where his body would face. Thanks to their discovery, Daichi tells the team only to defend the cross shots. In fact, Nishinoya is able to save one of those from Hyakuzawa, which earns him praise from the spectators, though he would at times be seen being knocked over from Hyakuzawa’s spikes due to the sheer power behind them. After the game concludes, Tanaka and Nishinoya playfully tease Hinata about the sound he made when receiving Hyakuzawas spike but get intimidated when Ennoshita scolds them about their studies.

When Nishinoya practices with Yamaguchi after the preliminaries conclude, Nishinoya is eager to receive one of his serves. A few days later, Nishinoya manages a good bump and is confident to do another but fails to save Yamaguchis serve. When entering the Sendai City Gymnasium, Karasuno encounters, Terushima. Being informed of what he did to Kiyoko, Nishinoya and Tanaka both leap at Terushima but are soon interrupted by Misaki.

While leaving Aoba Johsai High after their practice match, Daichi states that while they have little time left before the Interhigh preliminaries begin, it’s about time for Karasuno‘s “Guardian Deity”, Nishinoya, to return.
Asahi and Nishinoya’s Return
On their way home, Hinata, Kageyama, Daichi, Sugawara, and Tanaka discuss the upcoming Interhigh competition and the vital positions they currently lack. Kageyama brings up the team member who’s about to return and asks what he’s been up to. Tanaka answers he was suspended for a week and was banned from club activities for a month which prompts Hinata to ask if he’s a delinquent. But Tanaka says no and states that he’s just a little too passionate but overly is a good guy. Tanaka adds that he was Karasuno’s only prodigy, only that it is no longer the case now as Kageyama has joined their team. Sawamura tells Hinata to also call him “senpai” and claims it will make him stupidly happy.
Nishinoya perfectly receives Kageyama’s serve.
While Kageyama is in the middle of serve practice, Nishinoya jumps in to intercept the ball and does a perfect serve receive which stuns Hinata and Kageyama. He compliments Kageyama’s serve. Tanaka, Sugawara, and Sawamura arrive. Tanaka enthusiastically calls out to him which Nishinoya returns. Sawamura formally introduces him to the two first years.

Kyou Kai’s Revenge Arc
Yuu Ren became aware that Kyou Kai had been searching for her over the years and leaked information about her locations through rumors to Kyou Mei. When Kyou Kai met up with Kyou Mei, she was informed of the general location that Yuu Ren was currently at. Upon arriving there, she found Yuu Ren standing on a ledge of a hill looking down on Kyou Kai who had just entered the ambush she prepared.
Kyou Kai noticed she was surrounded by over 20 members of the Yuu tribe and Yuu Ren explained her comrades, that Kyou Kai was the top contender 5 years ago for the title of Shiyuu. She went on to tell them that she was drugged and betrayed by her sister who didn’t think she could win against her, so she never made it to the ritual. Kyou Kai angrily stated she was never betrayed and her sister just didn’t want them to fight each other.
At Yuu Ren’s order, all members surrounding Kyou Kai commenced the attack, going into their dance stance. However, Kyou Kai proved to be too much for the Yuu tribe’s members to handle. Upon seeing that, Yuu Ren decided to enter the fight herself.
Having survived the Shiyuu ritual, Yuu Ren had managed to completely suppress her own sentiments and feelings, obtaining the effect of the Priestess’ Dance without actually having to perform the dance. By doing this, her power was far greater than Kyou Kai’s and she managed to overwhelm her in the fight and beat her to a pulp. However, as she was about to finish her opponent off, Kyou Kai fought back.
