Phantom: Requiem For The Phantom

Top 10 Good Anime that You Can’t Watch In Public

This is an anime I watched a long time ago , but it still has a deep impression on me. I still go back for the music , some songs are just so mesmerizing. This is an anime about mafia , power , assassination and somewhat love. It will depend on how you interpret the anime , but the highs in this anime are great. You will just get immersed in the world of Phantom. Highly Recommended!

Wotakoi: Love Is Hard For Otaku

First aired: 2019 | Episodes: 11Where to watch it: Amazon Prime

Hirotaka and Narumi are two office workers who used to go to the same middle school together. So far so normal. But they actually have something else in common they both are terrible nerds, to the point its made it impossible for them to enter a lasting relationship, because their partners just wouldnt understand. Once Narumi and Hirotaka discovers this about each other, they decide to date on the spot. After all, it sounds quite efficient to have someone who will play MMOs with you, who will make sure you wont miss limited edition merchandise and who you can discuss your favourite anime with. But is that all it takes to date?

WotaKoi is such fun because it exemplifies something we all want someone to share our likes and interests with, or who at least understands them. Hirotaka and Narumi enter what at first seems like a relationship of convenience, but thats because they actually dont know how to date and because their time-consuming hobbies get in the way. Its also nice to see a show affirm the joy of having a hobby even as an adult, even though WotaKoi makes its protagonists seem a little too into things.

Jojos Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind

Where to start in talking about JoJos Bizarre Adventure? Its such an odd combination of action, body horror, fashion, and meta-referential musician references. For fans whove watched the series since part 1, it might all seem pretty normal now. But coming into this latest series fresh could be jarring. Still, this season, the fifth part of the series, works as a standalone piece since its narratively separate from the previous chapters. Golden Wind turns the show into a story about internal strife in an Italian mafia full of people with ridiculous psychic abilities.

The series is ostensibly built on putting its characters in incredibly melodramatic and increasingly ridiculous situations. For instance, the main crew gets stuck on a train with someone who is trying to kill them with his ability to make people age quickly in enclosed spaces. So they hide in a living room created by a psychic turtle inside its shell. Golden Wind makes the characters so appealing that wondering how theyll get out of these situations matters more than the completely incomprehensible nature of their problems.

Children Of The Whales

Children of the Whales plays with the idea of a postapocalyptic world racked by ecological disaster, this time as a global desert instead of an ocean. A pocket of survivors now lives on a giant floating city called the Mud Whale, and a majority of them developed psychokinetic abilities. Its 12 episodes explore what happens when the Mud Whale encounters another island with very different beliefs, and the conflict that follows. And while thats all interesting, its stylized animation, watercolorlike backgrounds, and slow pace put the show in a class of its own.Watch it if you love: Dune, Mortal Engines

The advent of a shockingly quality anime surprised anime fans all over the world in 2019. Q: Why Is There So Much Nudity Even In Kids Shows

First of all, Japanese attitudes about nudity are far less strict than those in the US, and it is even legal to show some nudity on TV in Japan. Since attitudes toward nudity are less strict in Japan, its also not entirely uncommon to see nudity in anime, including shows targeted at children, though the context is rarely erotic in those situations. There is also, of course, a significant market for anime specifically targeted at young-adult males, which feature everything from a great deal of skin to outright you-know-what. Dont take the existence of this sort of anime to mean that everything with some adult themes is low-brow, because youd be missing some very impressive cinema.

What is a Good Anime Opening?

We compiled some of the best anime series and movies across 24 categories and included a handful of honorable mentions for each. The best anime in each category rises above its genre in one way or another. Each anime series inspires radical changes within its genre or stands out due to a fantastic story or characters, great animation, voice work, and other factors.

  • Heavy on plot and character development.

  • Real stakes for the characters.

  • The protagonist is arguably the least interesting character.

  • Not everyone will enjoy its overly bleak tone.

Rated: TV-MAHonorable mentions: Trigun, Black Lagoon, Berserk

Attack on Titan is horrifying, but it isn’t really a horror anime. If you can stomach the grotesque, inside-out appearance of the titular titans, and the brutal finality of the way they devour their victims, you’ll find an action anime that’s also heavy on plot, character development, and atmosphere.

While there are probably more great action anime shows than any other genre, Attack on Titan is the best because the virtual lack of plot armor means nobody is ever truly safe, and the stakes are always very real.

  • A mix of charm and action.

  • Wonderful Akira Toriyama artwork.

Rated: TV-14 , TV-PG Honorable mentions: One PunchMan, Bleach, Naruto

  • Each season is something new.

  • High-fashion character designs.

  • Some people might be turned off by the tonal whiplash.

  • The first season is slow to start.

  • Some potential filler.

Anime is incredibly popular, but the amount of choice might overwhelm those who are just getting started. So here are the best anime for beginners!

Despite the fact that anime is one of the most popular forms of entertainment in the world, it can be incredibly difficult for potential fans of the genre to actually start watching. Ping Pong The Animation

First aired: 2014 | Episodes: 11Where to watch it: Funimation

Most sports anime are comfortable, trope-y hang-out shows with a fun cast of characters that are content to trundle along for a couple hundred episodes. Ping Pong the Animation, despite telling a conventional story about a pair of friends trying to become champion ping pong players, is nothing like that. And it probably looks like no anime you’ve ever seen. Director Masaaki Yuasa retained the art style of the manga, by acclaimed artist Taiy Matsumoto, characters rough and exaggerated, scenes cut up into panels just like a comic.

At first it may even come off as ugly, but stick with it to see the animation blossom in expressive, surreal ping pong matches that reflect the psychology of the characters as much as the real action of the sport. It has style to spare, but it’s ultimately the relationship of friends Smile and Peco that makes Ping Pong an all-timer.

Too Much Unnecessary Fan

Fan service is OK. I dont have a problem with it when it makes sense to have it.

The anime series: How Not To Summon A Demon Lord is an obvious example in 2018. Expecting an Ecchi series to not have fan service is like going to China and expecting to not eat fried rice.

But where fan service becomes a real issue is when its shoved into anime shows where it doesnt belong.

Usually its done for the sake of it. Or because the creators ran out of ideas and decided to use fan service to fill in the gaps.

And other times: fan service is used to deviate from the original story. To give viewers a break from the action.

But no matter how you wanna phrase or explain it, fan-service is at an all time high. And its the reason so many anime shows with potential end up falling apart from top to bottom.

Imagine how good High School Of The Dead would have been if it werent for the ridiculous fan service.

And so many other

But it doesnt end there

YouTuber DigiBro has a slightly different take on the topic.

Heres the video to dive more into the topic:

Why do you think good anime is hard to make these days?

Its not as if there arent good anime shows being produced.

2018 is a stand-out example. But its tough, and with time I believe things will get better within the next 10 years.

The Best Anime Series Of All Time

List RulesJapanese animated TV series only

Looking for good anime to watch? Here are the best anime shows of all time, ranked by fans everywhere. Top anime series include popular shows like Death Note, Attack on Titan, and many more. Plus, with so much new anime debuting each year, the list of best anime will only grow. The blanket term “anime” in the US can refer to any animation originating in Japan, and specifically differentiates a few aspects of Japanese animation from more Western styles. For example, the top comedy animes can be be much more explicit in their humor. This includes the Japanese propensity to feature adult themes, cool action scenes, and stories in animation, as opposed to Western “cartoons” aimed primarily at children, as well as the exaggerated, fantasy-oriented and colorful style of Japanese animated visuals.

Anime TV series first found popularity outside of Japan in the 1980s and have continued to find larger audiences in the West. A number of famous anime shows originating in Japan – such as Cowboy Bebop or Dragon Ball Z – have found enthusiastic audiences for dubbed versions in English speaking countries. The anime style has grown so popular in the US, it has stared to significantly influence the style and aesthetics of American animation. Shows such as Avatar: The Last Airbender, Afro Samurai, and Samurai Jack have borrowed heavily from anime in terms of pacing, subject matter, and design.

Restaurant To Another World

Everyone knows Food Wars. This is the toned-down version of Food Wars where they threw away all the ecchi and gave us a wholesome food anime.

The plot is different though. The show is really good. Instead of the usual isekai where everyone fights for survival, we get a show where our protagonists are running a restaurant.

But this restaurant is different. On off days, its door becomes a portal from where people from another world come and eat at the restaurant. The show is pretty funny, has an amazing atmosphere, and has stunning visuals. If you want a chilled laidback anime to binge, then this would be it.

Didnt I Say To Make My Abilities Average In The Next Life

In this anime, the protagonist is literally struggling from success, living her entire life alone and isolated as people envy her for her skills. So when she is given the choice to be reborn, she asks to be completely average.

But the gods are complete trolls and make her the daughter of a noble with magical abilities. In short, the story is about how she tries to stay low and live her life as normal as she can.
