Anime has been around for a long time, entertaining young and old for almost 60 years! I’ve been writing about anime on several different websites for almost six years now, and could you believe that in all this time I’ve never done one of these “All Time Top Tens?”

Now, my ranking is based on several things. I’ll be factoring in overall popularity, historical contribution to anime, and of course, personal opinion – which will be the largest factor. So if you’re one of those folks that may be allergic to opinions you disagree with, than consider this your warning.

Highschool Of The Dead

Despite ecchi being the main focus in this anime, the story itself is well done; more than you could expect to be. The show is completely over the top as youd expect; chock-full of scantily clad young women, tons of f-bombs, an exorbitant amount of blood, dismemberment.

The characters are all very well developed and the story is very well written and keeps you wanting to see more, the music plays on the right mood. To know more, Just watch it J

Dragon Ball Dragon Ball Z & Dragon Ball: Super

The story of Goku, Vegeta, and the rest of the Z Warriors is one of the most iconic tales ever told in anime. From Dragon Ball, to Dragonball Z, and now Dragonball: Super, one can argue that DBZ almost single-handedly paved the way for anime in the West! The endless powerups, endlessly ascending power ceiling, drawn-out battles, and iconic characters have remained fresh in the minds of people for decades now, and the IP doesnt show any signs of slowing down in the near future either. And, with incredible games like Dragon Ball FighterZ, there’s no reason to slow down anyway!

What else is there to say to make you watch this?

Out of all the isekai series saturating the market ever since the debut of Sword Art Online, this has been a rare refreshing take on that whole genre.

Instead of being a generic male novice, this sees the main character live his new life as a slime a cute, small slime.

With a rich and vivid fantasy world, plus a lighthearted vibe that sometimes makes me think of KonoSuba, the anime is such a good relaxer after a long day.

Rimuru Tempest is one of the most lovable anime protagonists of the past decade, and I cant wait for the sadly delayed second season to arrive.

Legend Of The Galactic Heroes

Ladies and gentlemen, another classic movie is on its way. This is indeed the Legend Of The Galactic Heroes. In 1988, Legend Of The Galactic Heroes was released as an OVA series of 110 episodes. Based on the same-named novel by Tanaka Yoshiki, illustrated by Katou Naoyuki and Kamoshita Yukihisa.

This story is centered on two organizations: the Empire of the Galactic and the Free Planets Alliance. As a result of the new generation of leaders, the war between these organizations has finally come to an end. During his rise to power in the Galactic Empire, Reinhard von Lohengramm held the belief that humanity should have one ruler. Yang Wenli argues, however, that democracy is the ideal way to rule, while aristocracy is not.

Each of these two geniuses needs to know the true reason for all this chaos and war when their ideologies clash. A critically acclaimed series, Legend Of The Galactic Heroes is known for its extraordinary storylines. Both critics and casual viewers appreciate it. In addition, MyAnimeList ranks it at #6. In other words, if this series has been on your watchlist for a while, I think now would be a great time to watch it.

Top 10 Scariest Anime of All Time

Just like live-action movies have masterpieces like ‘The Godfather’ or ‘Citizen Kane’ to hold up as the pinnacles of the medium, so do anime movies. Either due to critical/popular acclaim, or historical significance, these movies represent the best of anime. Disclaimer: This article follows one rule – only one movie per director. This would prevent half the list from being Hayao Miyazaki films. With that out of the way, let’s get started.

But you dont hear anime lovers argue about it or fight over which of their favorite show is the best. ;I bet that Japanese audiences even have a different set of what they consider as best anime shows.

Regardless of the differences, whats amazing with anime is that it connects people. You dont have to be Japanese to enjoy a good anime series or film.
