How To Watch Anime Expo Lite 2021
Anime Expo Lite is about to begin, with the digital convention starting later today which will give anime fans the opportunity to watch panels that dive into the future of such series as JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Demon Slayer, Star Wars Visions, and more. With the coronavirus pandemic causing many anime conventions and events to take their festivities online, most of the panels will be made available for this year’s Anime Expo via a live streaming function and/or “video on demand,” services that will allow fans to watch said information dumps at a later time.
Anime Expo Lite begins today, July 3rd, starting at 3PM Eastern, 12PM Pacific Standard Time, and will only cost viewers five dollars to take in all of the panels that take place during one of the biggest anime events of the year. Aside from the previously mentioned anime series that fans will have the opportunity to watch live, other events of note during this digital convention include the likes of the Crunchyroll Industry Panel, The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Panel on Hayao Miyazaki of Studio Ghibli fame, the premiere of Sonny Boy, and a Funimation Industry Panel to name a few. Needless to say, Anime Expo this year has covered many bases when it comes to the medium of anime.

Anime Expo Announces 2021 Dates And Refund Options For The Year
The effects of the novel coronavirus have had a huge impact on the world at large as we continue to practice social distancing in an attempt to cub the spread of the COVID-19 disease. Not only have many anime series been delayed over the last few weeks, but several major conventions set to arrive this Summer have been cancelled. This included Anime Expo 2020 among the major unfortunate cancellations, and a recent update to fans revealed how those who purchase tickets to the event can either refund their purchases or prepare for next year.
For those who previously purchased badges to the now canceled Anime Expo 2020, the official website for the convention has confirmed that no action is necessary as those badges will rollover to Anime Expo 2021 on May 31st. But for those who want a refund , you’ll have to do so before the May 31st cut off.
Continuing further, “With the COVID-19 situation continually changing, as well as more restrictions in place worldwide and in our host city Los Angeles, we can’t in good faith move forward with this year’s event. We know it will affect all of you differently and we did not come to this decision lightly.”
Although the convention was looked forward to by many fans, it just wouldn’t be possible given the current state of the world and still keep everyone healthy and safe. Sacanime Summer 2021 Manga Contest Entries
Welcome to SacAnimes Summer 2021 Manga Contest. Originally created in 2005, it ran for 10 years before we finally ended it in 2015, mostly due to the rising costs of printing. The ease of digital publishing has made the need to print physical copies almost redundant, leaving the only real expenses to be the prizes and the cost of the online publishing service.
As with SacAnimes Digital Art Contest, the manga contest gives SacAnime fans the opportunity to show off their creative talent. Please take the time to read the entries and vote for your favorites. SacAnime fans will determine who wins and receives the $600 first prize and exhibitor table at SacAnime Winter 2022. Since there were only 6 entries, we may not be offering a 2nd and 3rd prize, but that actually depends on how many people read the manga entries and vote. The future of the contest also depends on this. If you would like the contest to continue, make sure and tell your friends.
We are now offering the opportunity for fans to show their appreciation to the manga creators for all of their hard work. Donate as little as $1. All donations will be given to the manga creators when the voting ends and the winner is announced.

This year has been full of surprises and a bit of a waiting game when it comes to details. Some of the updates we want to share arent going to be amazing but we want to be upfront and transparent with all of you about whats going on. Youre probably reading this and thinking that makes no sense or why?. Honestly, we get it. Everyone on our team is doing their best to make sure that the show can go on, and we can all celebrate fandom together safely, despite the limitations were facing.
We know that these updates might not be what you were expecting, but they are things we need to do to host an event for you. If this is not for you, we completely understand, which is why weve extended the no questions asked refund window to Wednesday, October 13 at 10 AM EDT. A lot of tickets, including the Saturday, 3-Day Pass, and VIP are sold out and others are selling quickly. If you can no longer make it, let us know as soon as you can so other fans still interested in attending can access tickets.

If you order your tickets by , youll get them mailed to your door! All tickets ordered after will be held for pick up at Anime NYC. And if youre coming from outside the United States, your tickets will not be mailed at all and will be waiting for you when you arrive at Anime NYC.
Tickets will be mailed starting in October and will be received by November 15. No tickets will be mailed before this time.

Like the majority of events around the world lately, North American anime convention Anime Expo has taken their events online for the last year and a half. But the con will be coming back in person in 2022, as confirmed by a wrap-up press release sent around after this year’s Anime Expo Lite.
AX has been held over the Fourth of July weekend since 1991, and the same went for AX Lite. This year, the fully-online event was viewed more than 375,000 times by fans in more than 100 countries. Viewers got to look in on performances by Liella! , Moronica , and many others, as well as getting a sneak peek of Star Wars: Visions and watching interviews with the many special guests.
The event also raised $77,000 for the Hate Is a Virus commUNITY Action Fund.
In the wrap-up report for its 30th anniversary event, Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation CEO Ray Chiang said: “For the 2nd year in a row, Anime Expo was held online due to the Covid pandemic, but we were gratified and amazed at the continued strong support we received from so many fans from around the world.” He added that they are “excited to announce the return of Anime Expo to the Los Angeles Convention Center on , and to welcoming back all of our fans, exhibitors, and participants.”

This is a day my team and I hoped wouldnt come, but it is with a heavy heart that I am announcing the cancellation of Anime Expo 2020. Our utmost concern is for the health and safety of our amazing Anime Expo community. We understand your disappointment as we are anime fans first and foremost too. As you can imagine, this was one of the most difficult decisions we have had to make in the 29 years of Anime Expo.
