What is Pussie Toys?

In 2007, I made a plush as a present for a special person and he encouraged and helped me to create Pussie Toys. I started making really simple and animal-looking designs, I tried to sell them but I was still seeing it like a fun hobby.After a while I started to really want to find a way to live from my art but at some point I lost the faith in my plushies, they took too much time and I was selling them too cheap and not enough, and I focused on making hoodies. But when i finally had the opportunity to turn the project into a real business. I decided that was not what I wanted.I found in making dolls a path where I can give my best and offer to the world something unique that I’m passionate about.

I’ve been wanting to share my knowledge with you for years, I hope you enjoy and learn a lot from my courses.

With a baby nephew whos only 6 months old, I have a feeling that Ill be sewing a lot of plush toys over the next few years. Im talking: dinosaurs, aliens, robots Im basically making all the cool stuff that I fear is too childish to go in my own home! But thats what being an uncle is all about, right? Doing the fun stuff and spoiling my nephew with handmade gifts!

This is where my Cricut Maker is gonna be invaluable. Thanks to its awesome rotary blade attachment, it allows you to cut fabric with complete precision. Total game-changer! Below, Ill talk you through how to use this feature to make a plush toy in ANY shape.

Also I totally understand that not everyone has a Cricut. Dont worry! Its still absolutely possible to follow this tutorial to make plush toys. Just cut out your fabric shapes with scissors instead. But if you sew a lot, then Id massively recommend investing in a Cricut Maker. Itll change your life. Seriously.

How To Make A Scented Stuffed Animal

If you cuddle a lot with your plush toys you know that with time they might start smelling a bit bad. By adding a nice scent to your stuffed animals you can cuddle with them for a long time and make them smell all nice and fresh.

Making a scented stuffed animal is not difficult. While there are many already scented stuffies out there,;you can easily do it to almost all plushies with no big issues.

So, how to make a scented stuffed animal?

First begin by deodorizing the stuffie of your choice. Give it a nice clean so that it can be ready for the next steps.

There are two different ways you can add scent to a stuffed animal. The easier one is by making a smal sachet which you then scent and put inside the toy. The added benefit is that you can easily change the scent or replenish it by rescenting the sachet or making another one. The bad part is you have to cut your stuffie to put the sachet in.

Making the sachet is very simple. First you have to prepare the scent. Take a bottle of fragrance oil of your favorite scent. Put some dry rice in a jar with about a spoon from the oil. You can cover the top of the jar with some cloth and elastic band or a lid with holes in it. Let the jar sit until the oil has evaporated and the rice is completely dry again. Shake the jar twice a day to help the process move along.

Anime plushies are stuffed dolls of anime characters. They can be decorations, gifts, collectibles or toys. Anime plushies are popular at yearly anime conventions, malls and other places that cater to teenagers and young adults. While they can be purchased from a variety of places, both online and off, some people prefer to create their own anime plushies.

Find or create a character on which to base your anime plushie. It’s important to note that anime characters look very humanlike, so the plushie should look like a small person as well.

Fold the fabric so that there are two even layers. This will make the rest of the process easier by cutting down on time and improving the accuracy of the shapes that will be cut from the fabric.

Use a black marker to trace the outline of the anime character on the fabric. If there is more than one color of fabric, then trace the parts that would correspond to the color. For example, if a character has a red hat and nothing else is red, trace the outline of the red hat.
