Shakugan No Shana Iii

Top 10 Good Anime that You Can’t Watch In Public

Shakugan No Shana III is the final season of the Shakugan no Shana series where it mainly focuses on Yujis development as a character. Throughout this anime, we see him put through many trials and forced to mature as he acts to save his friends. Shakugan no Shana III is the last part of an anime where many people have given their all to help save one of their friends. But more than anything else, Shakugan no Shana III has a brilliant set of characters who will keep you on edge as they face each trial that comes before them.

I recommend this anime to anyone who wants to watch a drama anime filled with unique characters and an exciting plot.

The Ambition Of Oda Nobuna

You dont often hear the words cute girls and historical battlefields uttered in the same sentence.

But hey, thats what anime is here for.

The Ambition of Oda Nobuna follows a guy named Yoshiharu who gets sent back in time. However, he quickly notices that this timeline of Japanese history has a few key differences, one of which being that all the warlords are cute girls now.

So he uses his knowledge of history, which he got from a video game of course, to predict battles and aid best girl Oda Nobuna in her conquest of conquering Japan.

Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered But Overly Cautious

Isekai titles really just get to the point, dont they?

So yeah, the protagonist is extremely overpowered but is really cautious, how does that work as a plot hook? Extremely well actually.

The humor is very absurd, like the protagonist blowing up an entire village just because he wanted to make sure that he properly killed that level 1 slime, and very unpredictable.

The secondary protagonist also has that Aqua vibe, and her voice actress is just top tier. Trust me, you will binge the show and leave with no regrets.

Best High School Anime Ranked

Tons of anime take place in some sort of high school setting, but these are the absolute best of them.

The anime industry is known for churning out a lot of “slice of life” comedy and drama series, and they often take place in a high school. This isn’t an accident many anime viewers are high school themselves, so this academic setting is relatable and familiar. But that doesn’t have to make for stale, routine storytelling. Some high school anime go above and beyond.

Fullmetal Alchemist And Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Best Summer Anime of 2019: Good New Anime To Watch this ...

Not quite as cerebral or surreal as other shows in this list, FMA is a tightly wound high-fantasy series that has garnered several generations of fans. A bit of explanation: Full Metal Alchemist takes a turn halfway through that changes the story vastly from the series source material, while Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood is a more strictly adhered-to adaptation of the original books. Most FMA acolytes think the latter is far superior, but both are excellent. Telling the story of Edward and Alphonse Elric, brothers who survived a traumatic magical accident now hoping to right their mistakes of the past, the show explores themes of filial piety and the ramifications of global war.

Boku No Hero Academia

This show is just hype as all hell.

Its so shounen that it just makes you want to get a cape and run around your room and punch a wall or something.

The anime plus superhero mix-up was just a genius choice. The hype the show has gained also amassed just shy of 90 episodes for now, as well as two movies and a manga spin-off.

Story-wise its not as gripping as some of the others on this list, except Bakugos transformation from tsundere into lovable tsundere. But the action scenes definitely make up for it.

Jojos Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind

Available on: Crunchyroll , Adult Swim

If you havent already jumped on the JoJos Bizarre Adventure train then its finally the time to make the plunge, especially with it turning into a mainstay on Adult Swims Toonami block and more seasons hitting Netflix. It honestly feels like JoJo should be a genre on its own. The latest season, Golden Wind, moves the story to Italy and focuses on Giorno Giovanna as he infiltrates a dangerous gang with hopes to reform it from the inside out. Golden Winds story goes to much crazier places than mere gang reform and it makes for one of the most surprising and satisfying seasons of JoJos Bizarre Adventure. The characters are memorable, their stands and special abilities dont disappoint, and the animation and music continues to play by their own rules. Watch this torture dance and youll instantly be hooked.

The 14 Best Anime On Netflix You Can Binge Right Now

Top 20 Anime Series That Are Great to Binge Watch

Netflix is a low-key good source for anime. You can find older classics like Rurouni Kenshin for a good Sunday evening binge. Netflix also licenses anime specifically for the platform. Some examples include the Little Witch Academia, Knights of Sidonia, and Seven Deadly Sins. The mixture of titles and genres is good enough for most anime fans, although Netflix pales in comparison to sites like Funimation, VRV, or Crunchyroll. Still, there are a ton of options with some old classics as well as newer anime. Lets take a look at the best anime on Netflix! Of course, we have a similar list for Hulu and as well!

We also wanted to note a couple of things before we got started. There are some excellent, but incomplete anime on Netflix. For instance, it has exactly one season of Pokemon, one K-On movie, one Berserk movie, and only the first season of Fairy Tail. These are all excellent anime, but we cant really recommend them because Netflix doesnt have the complete series.

Bakuten Is A Charming Niche Love Letter

Bakuten!! perfectly captures the appeal of sports anime. It didn’t receive a lot of attention at first, primarily because its premise is based on a very niche sport, rhythmic gymnastics. Bakuten!! really sells its topic, and manages to make all of its fans legitimately excited about the sport and competition. The characters really shine, as is the case with all good sports anime. The relationships and personal motivations are engaging and make for a very interesting watch, adding to the overall viewing experience.

The Disastrous Life Of Saiki K

Given that its about a pink-haired teenage boy with psychic powers, The Disastrous Life of Saiki K gets a lot of mileage out of the purely mundane aspects of his life: going to school, or interacting with his parents, or even, uh, watching anime. Like any moody kid, all the eponymous Saiki wants is to be left alone and mind his own business, but the need to keep his secret from most of the people around him gets in his way. His deadpan delivery and ever-present internal monologue drive the show, and each episode delivers a new, deliciously meta comedy of errors.Watch it if you love:Sabrina the Teenage Witch the character Q in Star Trek: The Next Generation

Wotakoi: Love Is Hard For Otaku

Wotakoi follows an office worker named Narumi Momose, who hides the fact that shes an otaku in her public life because its led to issues in past relationships. When she starts a new job, she runs into an old childhood friend, Hirotaka Nifuji, who accidentally outs her as an otaku to some of their co-workers. Those co-workers, Hanako Koyanagi and Taro Kabakura, are not only secret otaku as well, but have been in a relationship since high school, which their co-workers also dont know about.

Wotakoi is a romantic comedy, although it tends to favor comedy over romance. Generally, the show finds the humor in workers attempts to balance work life, personal life, and hobbies. But it never feels like its punching down at the characters, or criticizing them unnecessarily. It makes the characters endearing and charming, which helps keep viewers invested when things get serious.

The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya

Top 10 Good Anime That You Can’t Watch In Public (Ep 2)

The slice-of-life anime The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is one of the best anime after 2000s. It is initially published as a light novel in 2003, which was adapted into anime in 2006. Before releasing the anime, there had been already a large number of fans of the light novel. The first season of the anime never bored them by broadcasting the stories out of order, which were not chronological.

The anime represent the daily life of SOS Brigade which is the school club established by the main heroine Haruhi Suzumiya. But, she is not just a human

Mobile Suit Gundam Uc

Think high investment, high reward if you get lost amid Mobile Suit Gundam UCs jargon and sprawling backstory. The space-opera franchise is 40 years old and running, so this one isnt easy for newcomers, but it pays off. The setup echoes previous entries: Teenage boy pilots a robot and encounters friends, enemies, and Jedi-like extrasensory powers in armed conflicts between Earth and its space colonies. Politics and power plays drive the show, but UC balances them with intimate scenes like this one, fluidly animated space battles, and even LSD-trip dream sequences. And the ultimate reveal of the shows MacGuffin, Laplaces Box, beats anything else youll catch on American TV.Watch it if you love:2001: A Space Odyssey the appendices of The Lord of the Rings

Seraph Of The End Vampire

Seraph is an excellent series that combines action with fantasy! It has a brilliant storyline, and there are so many twists in this anime which made me love it even more. The characters are fantastic too! But be warned, if you havent read the Manga, there might be spoilers for upcoming arcs because this anime only adapts the Mangas first arc.

Shimoneta: A Boring World Where The Concept Of Dirty Jokes Doesnt Exist

Available on: FunimationNow, Hulu

The series introduction gives you a pretty good idea of whats going on here. In a world where pornography, lewd language, and even crude humor are made illegal, a certain group of freedom fighters try to insert sexuality back into the world. This mash-up of Bradbury with bawdy humor turns out to be an ingenious pairing. Youd have no idea that flashy terrorist acts involving nude photos raining down on the population could not only be so hilarious, but also saying something poignant at the same time.

Theres some exceptionally smart, informed humor coming out of this show and a delicious What If? scenario like nothing else. Its also just nice to see the rampant sexuality that can so often dominate anime being portrayed in such an empowering light, too.

Todays Menu At The Emiya Family

Todays Menu is set in the Fate universe, which usually involves mages making contracts with historys greatest heroes to fight over the holy grail. But you dont really need to know anything about any of the Fate shows to watch it. The show involves characters from the original Fate series , but throws aside all the drama about fighting over the holy grail, and instead presents a very relaxed show about cooking.

The series was released monthly over the course of 2018, with each episode featuring a dish thats roughly tied to that months events. A typical episode follows high schooler Shirou Emiya as he tries to decide what to make for dinner, usually running into some of the other characters while hes shopping for ingredients, which inspires what he makes. Then he returns home, where the show beautifully animates him preparing the meal. So for instance, the January 1st episode is set on New Years Eve, and features him cooking soba, which is traditionally eaten in Japan on New Years Eve.

That release schedule also means the animators had a ton of time to work on Todays Menu, compared to the turnover required for a weekly show. And since the food is depicted realistically, as opposed to stylized, like you might see in a Ghibli film, it allows the creators more than enough time to keep production quality of the animation high for every single episode. Its definitely not a show to watch if you are hungry.

Streaming on Crunchyroll.
