Is Boruto Anime Hinting Towards Borutos Downfall

BORUTO VS KAWAKI POWER LEVELS – AnimeScale

We ourselves have said that Kawaki could be the Naruto of this Next Generation and the anime is hinting at it as well now! It is quite likely that Boruto will go down a similar path to Sasuke, but well only find out what will exactly happen when the story progresses that far!

Finally, the last scene of the opening shows Boruto and Kawaki on the opposite ends of Konoha.

Here, the opening builds more heavily towards the dynamic between the main duo. Boruto is at the far end of Konoha, while Kawaki is standing near the Hokage statues. This opening seems to be building towards Boruto following Sasukes path heavily.

To us, these are major hints towards the story and the characters themselves. This opening is a banger and the visuals go even better with it. The anime seems to have removed all the stops and just go all out working on this opening and it turned out amazing! This is a classic Naruto-level opening and the fans get that too.

Kawaki’s Karma Progression Is Equal To That Of Boruto Uzumaki

Kawaki received the Karma when he was a child, and he suffered constantly under Jigen. Every single day, Jigen beat the powers of the Karma into him. Boruto Uzumaki became the vessel of Momoshiki Otsutsuki only recently and according to Isshiki, he has already Otsutsukified up to 80%, which is the same as Kawaki. This doesn’t make sense as Kawaki has had the Karma for much longer and is a much better user of the power than Boruto Uzumaki.

Boruto Showcases A Familiar Karma With New Cliffhanger

Kawaki To Appear In The Boruto Manga Soon! OtakuKart ...

The mysterious energy known as Karma has played a huge role in Masashi Kishimoto’s sequel series, with the power being employed the Kara Organization to help in achieving the goals of the alien ninjas known as the Otsutsuki. In the latest chapter of Boruto’s manga, we see a resurgence of the energy but in an unexpected place, as the war between Code and Konoha continues to rattle the foundations of the ninja world and the manga tells stories that have yet to hit the anime series proper.

Warning. If you have yet to read the latest chapter of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Chapter 65, you might want to steer clear of the rest of this article as we’ll be diving into spoiler territory.

Code might not be as powerful as Jigen, but that isn’t stopping the new head of Kara from posing a serious threat to the Hidden Leaf Village. With Kawaki seemingly losing his grasp on Karma, Naruto losing the power of the Nine-Tailed Fox, and Boruto liable to be taken over by Momoshiki at any moment, it seems that a new powerup has arrived in one of the darkest hours of Konoha. When Jigen died, characters in Masashi Kishimoto’s Shonen series, and readers as well, believed that his ability to use Karma was now gone, but it seems as though things have changed.

The latest chapter sees Amado, the former head of research and development for Kara, wondering about Kawaki’s current situation while also exploring the current depths of his power:

Foreshadowings From The Manga:

The opening starts with a flashback-esque scene to the Momoshiki vs Konoha fight, where Boruto was infested with Momoshikis Karma.

The big screens behind Sarada and Mitsuki show Team 7 fighting someone. The screen has a fade effect on it, so we cant make out who they were exactly fighting. However, Boro wouldnt be a wild guess.

The manga readers mightve guessed this as well, as this was team 7s last and most important fight. They saved Naruto after he was sealed by defeating Boro. Moreover, Momoshiki possessed Boruto for the first time here. Since the fight is so important, it is likely that the studio would hint towards it as it is one of the best peaks of the manga so far.

Boruto Episode 228 Highlights

Kawakis Shinobi Journey begins. #Boruto

At the very end of Borutoepisode 226, we see Kawaki telling Naruto he might be up for trying to become a genin, which Naruto takes him upon. Naruto and Shikamaru agree that Kawakis skills are undeniable and assign him to teams other than Team 7 on D-ranked missions. They stress that Kawaki must be able to cooperate and work with people other than Boruto and his team to qualify as a genin.

“Not suited to be a shinobi “aside from Team 7 the rest of new gen shinobi are group of Bums or Cosplayers…. who play ninja #boruto

However, things dont go as planned, with Kawaki being stand-offish and acting on his own, with no concept of teamwork. He openly tells the other team members that he isnt friends with them. He acts coldly towards Shikadai as well, who though not particularly enthusiastic or forgiving about it, correctly identifies his problem. This is something that Shikamaru and Naruto also talk about in the Hokage office: Kawaki had grown up in a completely different and much brutal atmosphere with no room for trust or camaraderie between friends or partners.

Boruto is a Japanese manga series and anime and the sequel of old hit Naruto and Naruto Shippuden. The story revolves around Boruto Uzumaki, the son of Naruto Uzumaki, the Seventh Hokage of the leaf. The concept of the anime is still the same as Naruto, including the lives of Shinobis but in the modern era. Boruto has the exact opposite dream as his father had. He doesnt want to become Hokage of the Village. Instead, he wants to become someone who will become the right hand of Sasuke and protects Village from the shadow. Just like his mentor Sasuke Uchiha. The story further progresses with new villains and new power concepts.

Boruto: 10 Things That Make No Sense About Kawaki

Some things about Kawaki haven’t been explained yet or just don’t make sense in Boruto.

Kawaki is one of the main characters in Naruto‘s sequel, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. Along with Boruto Uzumaki, Sarada Uchiha, and Mitsuki, he appears to be a crucial character and plays quite a similar role to Sasuke Uchiha in the original Naruto series.

Introduced toward the end of the Ao arc, Kawaki immediately intrigued the fans and has only grown on everyone ever since. His character has been written quite incredibly, however, despite everything, there are quite a few things about him that simply don’t make any sense at the moment.

Why Is Konoha Destroyed In Boruto

In the prologue of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, fans see Konohagakure completely destroyed with no signs of either Naruto Uzumaki or Sasuke Uchiha around. Atop the Hokage faces, Boruto Uzumaki fights Kawaki as they have a difference of opinion. While it is true that the two end up fighting, the reason for it could very well be different from what many assume to be. Having seen Kawaki’s growth as a character and the incredible amount of love and respect that he has for Naruto Uzumaki, it is impossible for him to turn against his benefactor or to harm him.

At the end of the day, unless Kawaki is somehow manipulated, him destroying Konoha just for the sake of it seems unlikely. Fans know that whatever happens, Kawaki is good at heart and his only motivation in life is to protect Naruto Uzumaki with all his might. When Kawaki talks about sending Boruto Uzumaki to the same place as Naruto, it is possible that, using a space-time ninjutsu, Kawaki has transported him to a different dimension for his own good. As the Hokage of the village, Naruto wants to protect everyone dear to him, however, he doesn’t have to strength to do it anymore after Kurama’s death. Kawaki might have sent him to a different dimension against his will.

Boruto Revealed Kawaki’s Best Teammate

Boruto: 5 Characters Kawaki Can

Episode 230 of the Boruto anime reveals Kawaki’s best teammate in Konoha – and it’s surprisingly neither Boruto nor Sarada.

WARNING: The following contains spoilers forBoruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 230, “A Wish,” now streaming on Crunchyroll.

In the Boruto anime, Kawaki has found it difficult to relate to the teens in Konoha. They couldn’t stand his brazen attitude, as well as how he constantly disparaged aspiring shinobi in the Hidden Leaf. However, Boruto and Sarada kept plugging away to inculcate him into the fraternity, steadfast in their belief he’ll eventually warm to their larger family. Episode 230, however, reveals that as much wisdom as they share, neither of them is his best teammate — instead, it’s someone not even from Team 7.

Kawaki has been impressed with Boruto’s Team 7, but not enough that he wants to join. It’s why he was sent with Team 10 on another mission to escort Mozuku to the Land of Calm Seas, only to run into conflict with Shikadai and Chch. Thankfully, Boruto and Shikadai helped him fend off assassins, but the toll was dire.

Letting go, after all, is what Mozuku would have wanted for Kawaki to evolve into a better hero, honing and harnessing his full potential. Kawaki listened attentively, showing a mature, responsible Shikadai respect that he hasn’t show anyone else so far in Boruto.

When Will This Timeskip Occur

Well, this is something difficult to ascertain but we can make a fairly accurate approximation with the data we have to date.

In an interview with Mangaplus, Ikemoto commented he intended that the Naruto series would be completed in 100 volumes, that is to say that he would plan to finish Boruto in about 28 volumes since Naruto would cover the remaining 72 up to 100.

Currently, they are introducing 4 manga in each volume of Boruto, so apparently the Boruto series will have a total of 112 chapters, 43% of which have already elapsed, driving us halfway through Boruto.

He Might Play A Role In Konohagakure’s Destruction

In the prologue of the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations series, Kawaki is implied to have played a part in the destruction of Konohagakure. While his exact role in this hasn’t been confirmed just yet, the fact that he stands in Boruto’s way, who happens to be fighting for the shinobi cause, says a lot about which side Kawaki is backing. If he does indeed play a role in the destruction of Konohagakure like the story wants fans to believe, it would make no sense for his character to go down this path.

Who Is Kawaki In Boruto

There was once a time when Naruto was a loud-mouthed, wide-eyed ninja fighting to prove to the Leaf Villagers that he would one day become Hokage. During that time, he made many friends and allies as he searched for his former teammate, the rogue Leaf ninja Sasuke Uchiha. The boy battled many villains and became the hero of the Great Ninja War, all before engaging in an all-out battle with Sasuke to bring him back to the Leaf Village. Their rivalry throughout the series is a bond that transcends time, shared by many pairs of rivals across the animes historical lore. Whereas Naruto was outgoing and exuberant, Sasuke was cold and calculated, an excellent and exciting symbol of the clash between light and the dark.

Then Naruto grew up to become Hokage and had a son, who now has his own ninja adventures in the spinoff series Boruto. Set in a time after the last Great Ninja War, Boruto has made tons of friends and competed with plenty of fellow ninjas, but up until now, he never had an actual rival that mirrored that same clash his father once had with Sasuke.

At least, that was the case until Kawaki stepped into the picture.
