Bengali 229 Million Native Speakers
Admit it: you didnt expect Bengali to be on the list of most spoken languages. The Partition of Bengal by the British in 1947 divided West Bengal, now part of India, from its counterpart East Bengal, now Bangladesh. It is the language of Kolkata, the Andaman Islands, fabulous sweets, and 130-odd million Bangladeshis many of whom are extremely vulnerable to climate change. By the next century, the population is projected to double while 15 percent of the land area is expected to disappear below rising seas.

Portuguese 232 Million Native Speakers
This is another language whose reach owes much to its colonial past. Starting in the 15th century, avid Portuguese traders and conquerors brought their language to Africa, Asia and the Americas. The spread of Portuguese may have initially been tied to European colonization, but the colonized countries developed their own vibrant cultures that transformed the language forever. Today, Portuguese is spoken by 232 million native speakers in countries like Brazil, Goa, Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bisseau, São Tomé and Príncipe and Macau. Its also the language of Machado de Assis, Bossa Nova, Mia Couto, Fernando Pessoa and Agualusa.

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood
Plot: The series follows the story of two alchemist brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric, who want to restore their bodies after a disastrous failed attempt to bring their mother back to life through alchemy. Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood is the perfect recipe for an anime series: the perfect mix of shonen and seinen moments in the narrative archs makes the storyplot almost unequal. Amazing battles, sublime soundtracks and a clver scripts are the fundamentals for a valuable work.
Q: Who Created Anime And When
The art form we now call anime doesnt have a specific birth date, and it wasnt exactly created by anyone. But, partly as a result of being either the first or among the first to use the big-eyed style, Tezuka Osamu is generally considered the father of anime. He started creating manga in 1947, which were extremely popular, and at the beginning of 1963, Tetsuwan Atomy began airing. That is generally considered the first anime-style animated production. Animation had been produced in Japan as early as 1917, but the style was generally different from what is now considered anime.

Uma Musume: Pretty Derby
Uma Musume: Pretty Derbys second season puts a heart-racing anime twist on the real story of the Japanese racehorse, Tokai Teio. Shes a hard working horse girl who wants to be as fast as her mentor, Symboli Rudolf. Teio is a shoe-in for winning the triple crown, but an unexpected injury trips her up, making things hard for her.
With added drama and a smattering of very well-known voice actresses, Uma Musumes creators manage to pull off an interesting feat: they really make you really care about the horses. I learned so much about real life Japanese racehorses watching this, and some of the episodes had me bawling while I cheered on Teio. They got me good. JL

Hindi 342 Million Native Speakers
India has 23 official languages, with Hindi/Urdu chief among them. Whether this is one language Hindustani or two dialects is still fiercely debated. Spoken mainly in northern India and parts of Pakistan, Hindi uses devnagri script, while Urdu uses Persian notation. At the time of writing, the debate about its role in Indian education and society has once again flared up: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a Hindu nationalist, is seeking to have Hindi displace English in the southern Indian states as the primary language of official communication and education, a strategy that has been met with resistance. If you ever travel in the Indian subcontinent, a little Hindi will get you a long way. Plus, this is the language that gave us shampoo, , jodhpurs and bungalow whats not to love?
Vivy: Fluorite Eyes Song
Director: Shin WakabayashiAnimation production: CloverworksFollowing 14-year-old Ai Ooto as she fights to protect the souls of dead teenage girls housed within the eponymous “wonder eggs,” the high quality of Wonder Egg Prioritys animation proves immediately striking, full of spectacular, high-flying, and allegorical action. While it covers ground that other stories have before it, in detailing how girls are preyed upon under specific social structures that leave them vulnerable, for a time at least, it felt unique in the combination of imagery and visual language used to portray the girls reclamation of their own agency, and their retribution against their abusers, with various dreamscapes and nuanced character acting mixing with thorny meta-commentary on the narrow line between publicizing and discussing such traumas and exploiting them.

Is It Wrong To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon
- Episodes: 13
- Genre: Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy, Romance
My list of Top 10 short anime has been full of Seinen anime so far. So to break the ice from all the seriousness, I have decided to include this anime in my list. Is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon, also known as DanMachi, is a Fantasy anime that I definitely enjoyed watching?
The anime is packed with action and light comedy that keeps you wanting for me. The main character Bell starts off weak and slowly becomes stronger, and I do believe that the from Zero to Hero concept is definitely a hit amongst many viewers.
Q: Why Is There So Much Nudity Even In Kids Shows
First of all, Japanese attitudes about nudity are far less strict than those in the US, and it is even legal to show some nudity on TV in Japan. Since attitudes toward nudity are less strict in Japan, its also not entirely uncommon to see nudity in anime, including shows targeted at children, though the context is rarely erotic in those situations. There is also, of course, a significant market for anime specifically targeted at young-adult males, which feature everything from a great deal of skin to outright you-know-what. Dont take the existence of this sort of anime to mean that everything with some adult themes is low-brow, because youd be missing some very impressive cinema.

Kaze Ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru
First aired: 2018 | Episodes: 23Where to watch it: Crunchyroll
Any good sports anime will leave you wired with tension, glued to each play and each moment of team bonding. Long-distance track racing however, is not necessarily a sport that makes people dizzy with adrenaline, and so Production I.G., a studio that really knows their sports , takes things down a notch.
Meet Kakeru, a former ace runner who lost his friends and his club due to an altercation in high school. Now a university student, he gets invited to a downtrodden dormitory. It turns out that the dorm houses the involuntary members of a running club, all roped in by Haiji Kiyose, who wants them to participate in the Hakone Ekiden, the most prestigious university relay race in all of Japan.
Its a ridiculous plan, but the series takes you all the way from a group of young men refusing to even entertain the idea to reluctant training and finally, the race. Each of them faces different personal issues, and if theres one reason you likely wont expect from a sports anime, its sobbing like a baby when one of them has a breakthrough. The emotional depth of Run with the Wind is just that great, and its nice to see an anime like this focus on the issues of young men, rather than high school students.

Q: Is This Stuff Ok For My Kids To Watch
It depends. Some movies, yes . Others, definitely not. Most of the anime in this list dont really seem right for kids. However, some can be suggested. For example, an anime like Dragon Ball Z or Super are safe to watch, and another is Naruto for the most part. However, anime like Berserk! is definitely far from kid-friendly, so we suggest you read our reviews and go through what seems right for kids to watch.

Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi
- Episodes: 12
- Genre: Drama, Psychological
Also known as The Town Without Me or the American version Erased, this anime was quite popular when it first came out. But not many people have continued to talk about it. The amount of anime that look good and have a good story is rising much faster than before. With that, I do think a lot of viewers forgot about this anime or perhaps missed a chance to see it.
The anime is about time leaping, and how the main character suddenly leaps in time whenever an accident is about to happen. Although he cant control his power, a certain event happens that leads to a complete change in his life. With that we conclude our list of Top 10 short anime, before you go, we would like to mention 2 more anime we think you might enjoy watching.
