Will There Be More Black Clover Anime
As far as the general outlook is concerned, Black Clover is not over. The fact that the manga still has more than enough chapters to adapt means that there will be new material in the future the only question is whether it will be a continuation of the original anime series, or an anime movie.
Currently, we know that the anime is going to get a sequel anime movie, but the information on the movie is very, very scarce.
Save for the above-shown poster, we have absolutely no information about the movie. Shueisha promised more information at a later date, but as of the time of writing this article, no new information about the Black Clover movie has been published.
We assume that it will be a sequel adapting one or two of the next manga arcs, but well be updating this article when new information appears.
When Does The Black Clover Movie Air Currently There’s No Date Available
While the anime might be over with for now, that doesn’t mean the series is in trouble in terms of popularity. At the same time as the anime’s ending, it was announced the series was also getting its own feature film. This was announced in the 17th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump for 2021. Currently, there’s no specific date for the film, and no other information on the movie is available yet. Like the recent Dragon Ball Z movie announcement, it will likely be several months before more is shown beyond the announcement itself.
Black Clover Is Ending Here Are The Episode Details
As of this writing, Black clover is in its fourth season. With episode 165 set to air on February 23, 2021. Black Clover’s final episode will be episode 170, which will air on March 30, 2021, as confirmed on Crunchyroll’s blog.
That being said, Black Clover has not yet taken a break between seasons. So it’s fair to think of it as an ongoing series. Since Black Clover is running in tandem with its source manga, it also contains “filler” episodes. These don’t contribute to the plot and aren’t canon. Then there are episodes that have a mix of both filler and canon content and episodes that are canon, but only in the anime and not the manga:
- Episodes 2,8-9,30,69 & 102 contain both filler and canon content.
- Episodes 29,66,68,82,123-125,131,134-135 & 142-148 are pure filler and can be skipped.
- Diverging from the manga, episodes 3,13,55-56,130,132-133,136-141 & 149-157 are canon in the anime only.
It’s your choice whether you want to skip filler episodes, but just because an episode or short side-arc is filler doesn’t mean it won’t be entertaining!

The Black Clover manga, while popular, hasnt exactly enjoyed the same amount of side media as everything else. There arent a ton of OVAs or supplemental material out there.
However, there was a video game known as Black Clover: Quartet Knights. And that game also had a manga, Black Clover Gaiden Quartet Knights. This storyline told the story of Yami, Asta, Noelle, and Finral investigating a dungeon for the Magic Emperor, only for their Captain to have his time taken away until he was a teenager again.

We are like 200 chapters in, and Asta/Yuno is still lowly Magic Knight pions, and the Diamond Kingdom isnt even defeated yet.
There are still two other kingdoms that could be problematic, and we will probably need a long-while of Asta and Yuno being Magic Knight Captains.
So pending any bullshit, Id say atleast 500 chapters, if not a couple-hundred more.

I doubt we will get to see Asta and Yuno as a captain . I feel they will skip over it kind of like how Naruto skipped over he was a Chnin/Jonin or leader.

Well we do have an idea of how long. I remember in an Interview tabata said he wants it to go as long as naruto or even one piece. So we can assume it still has a lonnnnggg way to go. Anyways, best girl/favs is MEREO and VANESSA!

On February 9, 2015, Viz Media announced that they would publish the first three chapters of the series in their Weekly Shonen Jump digital magazine as part of their “Jump Start” program in North America. On March 30, 2015, they announced that the series would join their weekly lineup, beginning with chapter 4 on April 6, and would be published at an accelerated rate until the chapters were current with Japan. Plans to release the series in print were announced during their panel at New York Comic Con on October 9, 2015.

Asta’s unique power of anti-magic is considered to be the most dangerous weapon of all in the series. After all, without magic, everyone else is simply normal. Lastly, lets talk about the time investment required for an anime and for a manga. To be blunt, its almost always shorter to read something than to watch it, but that difference in time differs from show to show. For example, in Death Note, there are so many words on each page that it almost takes as long to read a chapter as it would to watch an episode .
But, Black Clover is a shonen manga, meaning it primarily focuses on action, and has a lot of episodes. Therefore, one chapter of a fight between the Wizard King and Licht that takes 10 minutes max to read translates to an episode and a half, which is about 3x the amount of time. For those who dont have the excess time to invest in a 150+ episode anime, try reading the manga instead, it really will save a lot of time. Or, at the very least, pick a series that’s a bit more binge-able.
Is This The Last Arc Of The Manga It’s Not Confirmed But There Aren’t Many Other Plot Lines Left To Wrap Up
It can be easy to wonder whether or not this is the last arc of the manga. The best answer is that it seems likely. The story has tied up most of its loose ends since the beginning of the series hinted at four kingdoms, which have all been explored thoroughly. The mystery of where Asta and Yuno came from has been solved, and the two of them are finally going to battle against the threat that separated them from their families. With very few mysteries remaining, this latest arc is looking like the last one in the manga. Hopefully, the anime can return after it finishes.

Who Are The Characters In The Black Clover Movie
Of course, with this being the “Black Clover” movie, we can fully expect to see series regulars like Asta , Noelle Silva , and Yuno , but who else might we see in the currently untitled movie?
Considering where they are in the series, we can fully expect the Dark Triad to make some kind of appearance. Their obsession with fully manifesting devils into this world have been a constant threat.
The Dark Triad, of course, are three dark wizards who currently rule the Spade Kingdom, former home of Yuno, using terror and ruthless subjugation. And among the Dark Triad, we can almost definitely assume that Zenon Zogratis , leader of previously mentioned evil mages, will pop up. Animated by Studio Pierrot, the Black Clover anime series initially aired from October 3, 2017 to March 30, 2021, with a total of 170 episodes. Studi Pierrot is known for its long-running anime, for example, Bleach, so its no wonder that Black Clover has so many episodes in an era where 20-ish-episode anime series are practically a standard.
