    Removal Of Episodes And Arcs

The 4Kids dub skipped 20 episodes in their entirety and, by using footage from multiple Japanese episodes in a single English one, cut the series down by 39 episodes in total. As a result, the following story arcs were skipped: Buggy’s Crew Adventure Chronicles, the Warship Island Arc, the Reverse Mountain Arc, Diary of Koby-Meppo, the Little Garden Arc and the Goat Island Arc. Individual episodes from the the Arlong Park, Loguetown and Post-Arabasta arcs were also removed.

In some cases this resulted in plot points significant to later story arcs being removed or altered. The removed Warship Island arc explains why the crew must use Reverse Mountain and the removal of Crocus meant that the first references to Laugh Tale were removed with him. To explain the Log Pose, a new dialogue scene was created using existing animation of the crew talking and footage of Yasopp and Zeff from earlier episodes in this scene, Usopp finds a Log Pose that Yasopp left to him, reminding Sanji of Zeff’s lesson to him about Grand Line navigation.

Because the storyline is still ongoing, several changes would become issues retroactively. Laboon’s removal leaves Brook without reason to join the crew, cutting Dorry and Brogy removes Oimo and Kashii’s reason to side with Usopp in the Enies Lobby Arc, the crew’s meeting with Crocus is referenced again in Thriller Bark, Sabaody Archipelago and the Zou arcs, and both Elbaf and Laugh Tale are referenced significantly later in the series.

Do You Have To Watch All One Piece Movies In Order

In technical terms, none of the movies are considered canon.

All of them are unrelated to the story we can follow in the manga. Strong World might be an exception because the main villain does appear in the manga storyline, but the event itself is not part of it. The stories themselves are not spoiled for you, so you can watch them whenever and wherever you like.

It can only be spoilt if new characters join the crew later on or if something has already happened in the manga .

Watching them in any order is fine, but since joining characters can alter the experience, maybe you should start watching them from the beginning.

Alternatively, you can follow our chronological One Piece watch order that you can find above in this article, which sorts all those movies in order with episodes, shorts, specials and OVAs.

We hope this article will help you with watching the whole One Piece anime in order.

Japanese Anime One Piece To Air Its 1000th Episode In 80 Countries

Cartoon series, starring Monkey D Luffy, started life as a manga in 1997 and is a record seller as a comic book

Two decades after the Japanese cartoon series One Piece introduced the world to a swashbuckling pirate in a straw hat, anime fans are awaiting this weekends release of the 1,000th episode.

One Piece first appeared in manga form in Japan in 1997, with an anime version following two years later.

Since then the franchise has become a global cultural phenomenon, smashing records and winning fans around the globe. Nonetheless, it wasnt an immediate hit.

Its a miracle, Ryuji Kochi of Toei Animation, the Japanese company behind the anime series, said of the 1,000-episode landmark. From the beginning, it was a tough title. It was not easy to place on the TV, he said, adding that creating a fanbase for the show was not easy either.

Kochi said it had taken 13 years for the anime, following the adventures of hat-wearing hero Monkey D Luffy, to reach cult status. Today, however, hundreds of millions of fans tune in to watch the hunt for the eponymous One Piece, the treasure coveted by all pirates. The popularity of the manga version has also endured alongside the TV show.

Its creator, Eiichiro Oda, holds the Guinness world record for most copies published for the same comic book series by a single author 490 million. The 1,000th episode of the anime series will be released in 80 countries over the weekend.
